Okay, I went for 2 makeovers.. Here's the other more elaborated one. More of a cosplay kind. All 3 styles, I've chosen to be in kimono. The effects turned out pretty nice..

Side by side comparison, see how photoshop made a big difference? Covered my black hair, slimmer waist and Styrofoam balls become snow and I have a little white fox beside me.. so cute.. Haha..

A much delayed entry to start off with. Apologies for blogees who had been waiting for this entry.. (if there's any)

After much procrastination, I had to make myself write it down so as to share my experiences and happenings I had in Shanghai and for me to reminisce.

Without further ado, let's hit it in. Haha...

10/05/10 Day 1 上海我来也！
China Eastern Airline MU568
It was an afternoon flight, Evonne came sent me and YX off at Changi Terminal 3. Not a bad flight. Reached 浦东国际机场 Pu Dong International Airport at 9.37pm and after clearing customs, we are at the exit of the airport at around 10.30pm. As it's a free and easy trip, we had to make our way around of coz. The weather was so shiok at 20 degrees at night!

We took Airport Bus Line no. 7 and then a cab to reach YX's aunt's house in 蓝村路. YX's Aunt house is somewhat like a 3 room flat and due to housing constraints, there's only one toilet. They have a small kitchen but enough to dish out local delicacies. Managed to settle down at around 11.30pm, had some 云吞汤 cooked by YX's aunt and quickly hit the sack.

11/05/10 Day 2 YUMO Makeover
Our daily breakfast was being prepared by YX's Aunt and I get to try different kinds of breakfast they had. This morning's breakfast was 生煎包. It's deep fried pastry with meat fillings and abit of soup in the bun. Yummy!

This day we had our first makeover (yes, we did 2 makover sets with 3 styles each for 2 days). Today's more of a cosplay theme. We get to choose from different themes from YUMO website before we flew over. I chose 3 kimono's style (银狐，恶女花魁，AGE娘). For this makeover, photoshop is essential.. So will probably put up once it's done. It is more of a cosplay for me. Never tried this extreme kind.. Thick thick makeup manz. And I forgot to bring makeup remover!! Great thing that YX brought along, if not I will really have a hard time scrubbing my face!

We met up YX's secondary school friends and we had Dinner @ the 3 Travellers' Restaurant. It's kinda steamboat with dumplings and different kinds veggies as well as meat. One unique food is the 肉骨whereby each diner is given a straw to suck the 骨髓 from the bone. Somewat has collagen.. Interesting experience though.

12/05/10 Day 3 欧风 Makeover
We had some dumpling soup for breakfast before taking train down to our 2nd makeover place. 欧风摄影 has a lot of themes to choose from. Of which, they specialized in artistic shoots (nudity) but it does takes abit of courage to do that.. will consider if there's another chance to go in the near future.. haha.. Anyway, had chose 百合, 韩国公主 and 午后阳光. Today's makeover was more of a sweet sweet normal not cosplay kind. haha.. Had fun as well, despite falling due to high heels..

Dinner was some 川菜 near 南京东路. 南京东路 is like Shanghai's Orchard Road. We had some spicy 田鸡脚, 老鸭汤，乳鸽... Best was the dessert with Sweet Potato coated in caramel. Once dipped into ice water, the outside of the sweet dessert became crispy. Nice nice!

13/05/10 Day 4 First Footing into World Expo Shanghai 2010
Our main purpose of this trip is to go to World Expo Shanghai. It was an invitation from YX's parents when I met them last year on YX's convocation. Everywhere in Shanghai there's information/pictures/souvenirs regarding 上海世博. Everyday sure to hear the word 世博 and 海宝.. 海宝 is their official mascot in blue.. Anyway, we reached the entrance of the World Expo at around 11am, having to queue for about 20mins. Huge crowds but smooth progress. Met some cut queue peeps but it's alright cos wasn't in the mood to get angry. Let them be.

World Expo Shanghai is HUGE. With 250 pavilions showing different countries' cultures, IT technology, fashion, food etc, it's impossible to cover everything in one day. We had set aside 2 days to come to World Expo.. As it was opened on 01/05/2010, the 3rd week since its opening was still crowded with locals and foreigners. I suppose until today there's still neverending crowds.

We 走马观花 'wah wah/ so big/ which one to go/ see this one/ see that one' for about half an hour before deciding our maiden pavilion to go. Turkey is our choice, with some ham ham ang mo smiling at us at the entrance.. Haha.. YX's fave manz.. But too bad we din take pic of him. Ask YX to approach him and take pic but she din wan.. So we joined the queue to go into Turkey Pavilion. It has 2 layers of walls, one beige wif cave drawings and one red (resembling drawings on the rocks) on the outside. Took us abt 15 mins to get in. They showcased some ancient history of Turkey, some monuments and dressing style in the past.. There's Turkish ice cream man teasing the public as usual (whenever you wan to buy Turkish ice cream, you gotta get past the tricks that the ice cream man does to you before you finally get ur ice cream). We spent 30mins in it before going to our nx pavilion.

2nd Pavilion was Iceland. Shaped like an ice cube. Queued for 15mins and we entered the simple Pavilion wif 4 walls. Temperature remains 20-22 degrees inside the pavilion. It does projection on the 4 walls and displayed the visuals, sounds of the country. Large waterfalls and ice bergs as well as polar bears to let visitors know abt the nature in Iceland.. Video was abt 8-10mins.

3rd Pavilion went was Denmark. The pavilion spirals up and allow visitors to rent bikes to cycle up the pavilion. It's one of the 'must-go' Pavilion. Why? Cos they shipped their famous Little Mermaid to Shanghai. Denmark's Little Mermaid statue is one of the symbols of the city of Copenhagen, is somewat like Merlion to Singapore that important. It was there since 1913 and Shanghai is its maiden trip overseas. Imagine ppl going to Denmark and realised 'huh Mermaid in Shanghai? Why am I at Denmark then' kinda expression. Haha.. We queued for 20mins to get into the pavilion and meet this 'lady' and tried out their Danish delights.. Yum yum..

4th. Belgium Pavilion. Queued 45mins. It displayed their famous Choc making, allowing visitors see how the choc were made. Free Choc were given at 3pm daily but we went in at 1pm, we din get to sample the freebies. Sparkling blings blings expensive stones were on display as well. Nice big ones..

5th. UK Pavilion. The SEED. 60,000 different seeds are involved. They were placed in some plastic tubes. Rather small but nice pavilion to see. Queued for 30mins to get in.

6th. Italy Pavilion. Queued for 1hr to get in. Its exterior is somewhat derived from Shanghai's traditional game that requires 20 wood bricks to form the whole picture and it symbolizes Italy's 20 cities. How cool is this! Lotsa things to see in Italy Pavilion. They showcase a whole orchestra on the wall. Yes, Drums, trumpets, violins, cellos, grand piano as well as the conductor stand are all pinned onto a large wall. Music scores were also pinned on the wall which somewat looked like scattered on the floor. A very cool wall. Branded goods such as Ferragamo were on displays.. 意大利面 were also there..

As we are meeting YX's 2nd group of friends, we gotta leave the Expo at 5pm. Dinner was in a chinese atas restaurant. Food was great and average expediture was about RMB60 (SGD12).

14/05/10 Day 5 西塘千古镇
We went on a 2 day 1 night trip to 西塘. Went wif YX's 3rd group of friends (a couple). Took a train from Shanghai to 西塘. Abt 40mins ride.

西塘镇属浙江省嘉善县，位于太湖流域的江，浙，泸（上海）二省一市的交界处，是一个具有深厚历史文化的千古镇。(Ok, I din draft this description. It was taken up from the postcard I bought there, just type out nia)

Its a nice peaceful village with old town settings. Seems like we have gone back in time to the sword fighting era. Haha.. Tried smelly toufu there. Stinks but they like. Went pubbing in this old town. Seems abit weird but interesting. As there's no shopping malls in this little town, pubbing seems to be the only choice of night entertainment.

The hostel we stayed in was good! At first when we surf the hostel's website and saw they have a liberal clear view of toilet from bed, YX and I almost freaked out. Cos 4 of us 3 gals 1 guy, open toilet concept was much overwhelming for us. Great they had the white curtain screen, if not, we gotta lock 小胖 at the attic! Haha..

15/05/10 Day 6 西塘-上海
We had brunch in 西塘. As our return trip via train is 站票 (Stand all the way, no seats), we decided to take the express coach back to Shanghai. 1hr plus. Went to their 'CBD' had some night shopping as well.

16/05/10 Day 7 便宜货我扫~
Breakfast was 油条+蛋饼+ 酒酿丸子.. Today's a day to grab all the souvenirs for friends and family. Morning we went to see our pics from 欧风 and picked some pics we want for further enhancements + effects. After that, we went for shopping spree. Things were pretty affordable! We shopped and manicured and shopped..

Dinner was cooked by YX's uncle and we had a great feasting! Took pics with the host and his family.

17/05/10 Day 8 我是观光客
Today we explored the tourist-must-go places. Went to 滨江大道 which overlooked over to 外滩, 东方明珠, 城隍庙. We walked and shopped a lot.

Dinner was wif YX's 4th group of friends. We had 小龙虾 feasting! They served nothing but 小龙虾. It was simply yummy! Later on we chilled out at a Hong-kong themed cafe while YX catched up wif her friends.

18/05/10 Day 9 世博第二望
Shi Bo here we come again! This day we explored a lot of Pavilions. Walked and explored so many places and countries till we lost count. Visited some countries' Pavilions that I dun even know they existed. Okay, wif the fact that popular pavilions will require 3-5hrs of queuing to get in, why not explore the not so many ppl pavilion. Quality? Quantity? We went wif quantity instead and visited some ulu countries' pavilions. Nevertheless, it's pretty interesting to know such countries existed.

This is the day I thought I could not even walk anymore. It's the most painful walk in my life. From morning 10am till 10pm, we had nothing much except walking and taking photos and more walking. It's definitely more than 10km. I kept saying "我走不动了", yet I kept walking and walking and limping and walking. Had fun as well though...

19/05/10 Day 10 凯旋归来啦
Final day we spent at a mega mall doing our groceries shopping. It's somewat like Carrefour, wif local products as well as electronics items. My luggage was bursting out and glad that I brought along a PVC bag to bring my barang barang back. I estimated that my stuff will not be able to fit into the luggage one and indeed, a 2nd bag is required. So final day spent shopping and packing. I had 4 bags with me (Luggage, PVC bag, YX's lappie and my sling bag) and YX had 5 bags (luggage, backpack, side bag, YX office lappie and I cant remember wat she carried). YX Aunt and family helped us in getting the luggage and stuff to the cab and waved goodbye as we zoomed off to take the bullet train station to go airport. As cabbing directly to airport is expensive, we go via bullet train instead. The most 狼狈 moments were carrying our barangs from the cab to the bullet train station. Carrying 3 bags and dragging one more than 10kg luggage wasn't an easy task but 巾帼不让须眉, we did it without any other assistance.

The 上海磁浮列车 was travelling at 330km/h and we reached the airport in 10mins. We were so glad when we saw the airport trolley. Dumped most of our stuff on the trolley and it was much more lighter on our backs.

We checked in pretty early and nua at the transit. Reached Singapore at 5am+. Had some Mac for breakfast before taking cab at 6am.. Home sweet home..

Yay! Finally finished my blog on Shanghai. Summarized a lot, especially on World Expo...

This is the day! Not to take flight yet, but to do something major.. Took AM AL to do this 神圣的任务...

Candice has gotten Jay Chou Tix!

没错没错, Candice finally get the tix in her hands!

话说从前，在这风和日丽的早晨，Candice stepped out of the house at usual timing, only destination is different from daily routine. SISTIC COUNTER!! But Where One?? Was thinking of going over to National Stadium Sistic Counter whereby tickets sales started at 9am (the rest start only at 10am). However, I suspected that crowd may definitely have formed and getting tix by 10am deemed impossible.. So Candice went for the 1st venue in mind. City Square Mall in Farrer Park. Why?

1. Bird no lay egg place. Seldom ppl would have thought of this place to get tickets. So there will definitely be more chances of me getting better tickets!

2. Is a Shopping Mall. Air Con. Better than queuing at Stadium and fan and fan and fan ownself right?

3. 贡茶 venue! Similar to KOI, Gong Cha is from Taiwan. Said to be using premium tea leaves. Nice Nice NICE!

4. Pretty fast route to office (took AM Leave so PM gotta go back)

And so, decision made and off I went to City Square Mall.

8am.
Reached City Square. Very quiet. Good. Just as I was approaching the of-course-haven-open-的-Sistic Counter, someone was a few seconds ahead of me.

"Will you like to head start the queue?" I asked. I was the second in line.

"Yup..." and some others short conversation I had with this person.. It's the 2nd time this person in front of me trying to get Jay Chou Tix..

My 2hour wait for the Sistic Counter to open then started. Armed wif a bottle of mineral water and 我报, Candice gracefully stood there, start to update myself with news happening. Seriously this is the first time I read this English-Chinese newspaper thoroughly. Usually, I did flippings and done in a few minutes. Today, I read it for an hour.

3rd in line joined the queue 10mins later. He lagi good, armed with laptop to book the tickets online. Kiasu Singaporean? You bet we are.

Security Guards somehow knew abt our existence and came to jia gar us. I guessed we had indeed spiced up their boring Wednesday. "Later I will need more support to come to the sistic counter.. roger that?"

PLLLEEAASSEEEE, we are not going to do a strike or what, we are obediently queuing to get concert tix..

So Candice continued to read her newspaper..

9.30am
My legs were wobbly and my grace and poise were no longer there. Took off my heels and remained standing as a couple of the rest behind me had made themselves seated comfortably.

10am
All set and ready to get tickets. Sales person kept shaking her head.. "Cat 1 left single seats, would u like Cat 2?"

The 1st-in-line got Cat 2 and Cat 3 instead of his request of Cat 1 and Cat3 (total he got 8 tix).
Not bad lah.. At least he got Cat 3 loh.

10.10am
My turn~ "Sorry Miss, Cat 3 is totally SOLD OUT" the sales person told me. Sheesh. I needed 4 tix. Cat 3 gone. Ended up getting Cat 2 and Cat 5 (Cat 4 also gone!).. After 2 hr wait, I did not get what I wanted. Abit disappointed but then, it's a fact.

Anyway, I still managed to get the tix. I thought it was way too crazy. THIRD SHOW LEY! Why issit still sold out so fast?? Hmm..

Opps.. din realise I have yet to pack my stuff... 4more days~!!

Hello! May is here~! Which means my holiday is coming! In one week's time.. This will be my longest trip so far (10days)

Shanghai shanghai I'm coming!!

Prepared and excited about the trip? You bet I am. Went into the Virtual Tour of the Expo (www.expo.cn) trying to see what's happening in the different pavilions.. This will be the largest World Expo held so far. Of cos, Chinese ppl like 面子.. so regardless how much needed to build this expo, they just throw in the money and indeed a wide eye-opener to the world. Now, Shanghai is the centre of attraction after much fanfare.. It's indeed a time for the world to know China and China to open up the business to the whole world..

And thanks to ASA, they did a countdown of the number of days to World Expo 2010 on TV.. So a good countdown for me as well. I had been religiously reading my Straits Times, especially when they wrote about the World Expo, I ensure that I do my homework well enuf. And as it is the first week of opening (Day 2 as we speak), huge crowds were seen queuing into different pavilions. Newspapers mentioned that popular pavilions like Japan and Taiwan, will require a queue of 4hrs to get in. For Singapore Pavilion, it will take abt 1hr to get in. OMG.. I dare not think about the queue to the China Pavilion.. Heard that it requires advanced booking on that day of visit in order to go in and see. The whole world is going to Shanghai~~!!

Well, let's see.. as me and YX are going on a F&E trip, we had set aside 2-3 days for the Expo.. Till then, updates later~!!

Looking forward.. Definitely.

Hello Blogees~! I guess I better clock in one entry before April pass me by... Well well this 'What is happening now' doesn't seemed happening. I suppose the days had been 'routined' and mundane?

Anway, quick updates! Welcome new blogee Nana~! Well due to the fact that I seldom tell ppl my blog (cos nothing much to share and not tat fanciful). Nana told me to write abt where I went what I do etc.. So.. here it is.

Batam Escapade 270310-280310
Alrightie, it's one month ago~!! Time flies unknowingly. Really.

Went on a weekend trip to Batam. Had a great short getaway. It's shopping (din buy much though), 3hr massage spa, Jap Dinner and hotel room party..

Shopping wasn't that fun cos everywhere there's branded substitutes! Got so sianz that none are real (even it's real I dare not buy cos ulu place got branded de meh).. Some branded bags were nice, my fave shade of pink, but.. fake.. So.. 割爱...

Managed to bag some 清香济.. Some green apple fragrance. I bought 10 back and am left with 3 only.. Super fast! Terrible queue in the supermart though.. Rather pissed with the speed of the blur slow toot cashier. We really had a 'FINALLY'S OUR TURN LIAO' and get over with it..

After 2hr random shopping at ulu shopping mall, we relaxed a while in the hotel before our 3 hr spa.

Spa was the best in this trip! Though stripped naked, let some unknown ppl touch and all, the overall feeling was great after a good massage. It really calmed the body down, totally free of tension. The 3hr spa includes body scrub, aroma therapy, massage and aroma bath.. One person per hut.. Very secluded and peaceful, away from the noisy concrete jungle in Singapore..

Night time was spent celebrating YX's bdae in the hotel room. We bought brownie for her bdae. As it was 'imported' from Singapore, we gotta find something tat wun melt. Last yr we had GoodwoodPark Durian cake celebrated in Partyworld. This year, the party gets brought overseas! We shipped over some small bottles of wine to yum seng (we took ferry also ma.. so counted 'shipped over' bah..)

Short Getaways were really good to recharge one self. Should try to do it more often. However, will not put in plans for it this year.. Cos, couple of countries to go this year.. Am looking forward to every single one of it..

Here's the tentative schedule:

1) Mar: Batam (Went and happy.. ^__^)
2) May: 10/05 - 19/05 Shanghai (and nearby provinces like Su Zhou, Hang Zhou etc) But not able to visit Cat Cat in Li Jiang cos it's rather too far from Shanghai..

Another 2 weeks' time. Yes I have applied leave for it. First time applied 9 days of AL (almost 2 weeks) Abit shiong but for the sake of one major holiday, it is worth it.. ^__^

3)Late June/ Early Jul: Weekend + one weekday trip to Pangkor or Sepang Goldcoast.

Nice right? I love this pic, somewhat looks like The Palm Jebel Ali (Palm Islands, Dubai).. Anyway, it does looks nice...

I love beach holidays! Yet to confirm which one (Pangkor or Sepang).. but most prob a 3D2N thingy..

4) Taiwan 20/09 - 25/09 (Tentative) To be a 5 day or 7 days thing. It will be with tour group cos our plans is to see scenary, shopping wise, perhaps nx time..

5) Malacca 30/10 - 31/10 (Tentative) To celebrate Ah Pek 25th wedding anniversary. As my auntie is from Malacca, they decided to hold the celebration there. It's somewhat a family trip for the Neos. It will be the first after so many years..

So much for my trip stuffs.. These days also took up a weekly sport --> Squash.

After the one time try out organised by the empire, me and my colleagues decided that this is the sport that will really help us in slimming down. With same goals in mind, we invested in a Prince racquet each and weekly bookings of squash court nearby the empire. Enjoying the game... ^__^

Alrightey, tat's abt it, blogged so much one time.. Will try to update.. after my trip.. hehe..

Empire got new sports to join. Had registered for Aikido.. Last yr registered but din managed to go due to work.. Lucky it got extended till Jan 10.. Today's the first session. At Bishan SMRT Club House.. But, not my cuppa teh.. But learnt abit of self protection tactics.. of which is applicable to daily lives.. Hmm.. I tink with the kinda running and slamming onto the mat, I could have break my bones.. Lolz..

Anyway, i registered myself for another sport.. Squash... Also by the empire.. Looking forward to it..

Happy 2010!!

Different encounters on the bus this morning and evening. Morning, I wanted to close my eyes and rest. But something caught my eye. Gucci Bag. So I looked for a while. Saw the lady owner of the bag was doing some powdering her face. My first thoughts were like, 'not bad, know how to have more time zzz than to do makeup at home'. Then she started to do eyeshadow, draw eyebrow then come the hardest de. Gel Eyeliner! Woah! For me, I use a 毛笔 kind and I need concentration and steadiness to draw. And my eyeliner is the kind of 'anyone also can draw nice eyeliner wif it' kinda brush. Anyway back to the OL. The bus was not very crowded at about 7.15am, but still got a 80% capacity. Her eyeliner needa dip into the 'ink' to draw de. Once the bus stop at the bus stop to alight/board passengers, she started to draw and as the bus took off for the next stop, she paused her drawing. So at one point in time, she is having only one eyeliner done. Must be abit weird but I supposed no one can be bothered wif her. Only me kaypoh.. After both eyeliner were completed, she moved on to do mascara, then hers got the 'apply white coat then black coat' kind. Then also do stunt loh.. She had more than enough time to reach her Suntec bus stop. Amazes me.. Though I did my makeup in less than 2mins, I still make it a point to do it at home. Trying on the bus? Not that professional yet.

At Work... Today is the last day of my old identity. Tml, a new identity is born. I kept thinking of the movie Avatar where by Jake finally become a Na'vi. The last part. Eye open part. Suddenly, I relate my change in identity to it. I will become Na'vi tml. Haha.. Busy day to prepare the big massive change. Tee Gong Bo Bi Everything Shun Shun Li Li...

As we were informed to cut off our old identity by 6pm to allow program engineers to do our migration, we logged off promptly at 6pm. So can't work, go home loh.

While waiting at bus stop, saw a super cute ang moh. Looks abit like James Branaman from the amazing race... See the photo below.. Yummy? Lolz.. He's the one on the right.

Okay, back to the bus stop.

My bus has once again gone before I made my way there and so gotta wait for the next one. So I happen, really happen to sit looking at the upcoming bus direction which happen to be at the direction the ang moh standing. When I first saw him, I thought he's the Prince Charming who stepped out of some fairytale.. He seem so perfect looking human being! Nice jawline, blue electrifying eyes, clean shaven chin, a perfect built and height, not too bulky or slim, long sleeved collared shirt (okay la, at my working area most guys dressed like tat, but it's the way this ang moh carry himself). I was like, woah. Mesmerized by him at first sight. Kept looking and kept looking, (I was actually hoping that my bus comes later so I can catch a longer glimpse of him) and see which bus he take.. Of cos I'm not to the extend of stalking.. Just wow-ed.

Finally my bus was here and guess what, he was about to take the same bus as me. Then when I was quite near him, I discreetly took a peep at him. He saw it and our eyes met. OMG. I could have fainted!! His voltage is too high to manage!! Last day of the year. Last year of the decade. WELCOME 2010.

No.. I'm not starting with "Time flies" or anything related to it. It's a fact that isn't worth to mention so many times about it.

Anyway, year 2009 has been a great one. Tried picking up new sports and skills.

New try-outs:
Indoor Rock Climbing (tried one session, organised by company)
Inline blading (also one session, by company)
Aerobics (10 sessions, by company)
Ceramic Art Pottery (12 sessions, at some CCs)

Almost get to try out Aikido, organised by company also.. Free somemore.. got myself registered.. But one problem. I got stuck in the office!! Need to OT and hence, cant go for the evening sessions (2 free sessions). Wat a waste... hai... nvm.. next time will have others..

The Board actually have quite a number of interesting courses, got bollywood dance, belly dance, wine tasting, mooncake making.. lotsa CC activites like tat.. and it's mostly conducted at the rooms in the board.. so.. I guess, they did quite a good job in getting staff to participate in it. At least, I'm interested.. Not like everyday go office and work.. There's play as well.. Somewhat of a Work-Life balance i guess...

Hmm.. this year, I'm supposed to pick up a musical instrument. Wanted to try my fingers on a music piece, to complete a classical song. But my pianist friend.. too busy to do a crash course for me.. So maybe push to next year...

Nevertheless, I self-learnt and practiced my uke.. Shamelessly recorded some videos for self-entertainment.. Decided to share some I considered 可以见人的作品...

Next. Resolution.

Every year, I try to pen down my resolutions. But then, couple of things i wanted to do has been much procrastinated. As such, no accomplishments made. Darnz!

So, this upcoming 2010, I shall make mine sweet and simple. Afterall, if the resolutions made too over the mountain hard to reach target, then it is not practical resolutions liao. So, sweet and simple is good enough. So here it is:

1) To have more money to spend (hopefully the 'lucky draw' that I had submitted can help me gain some kachings.. ^__^)
2) To take up more activities organised by my company - Afterall it's subsidized and it helps gain points to our empire's 'CCA points'. So, it's a win-win thing. Why not?
3) To go for more external courses - Also, wanted to find a course that coincide with what Peishi's empire having. So we can attend course together.. perhaps at Civil Service College.. Hehe..
4) To travel to at least 2 countries in 2010! In 2009, managed to went South Korea and JB... This 2010, not including JB, I want to go venture other countries. Actually already have plans for Shanghai in May 10 and Bangkok in Nov 10.. But all in the talkings.. Not really firmed up yet.. *fingers crossed...
5) To stay healthy and maintain my youth - Tis yr, I had been rather sick and injured here and there.. Not so healthy.. Nx yr, will try to keep fit and stay healthy.. Then maintaining youth.. Go for botox? Haha.. Still young.. At this moment, still need not.. So expensive also.. But who knows ah.. Hard to say..
6) To try out waxing! Haha.. Surprise surprise.. I wanted to go try some intimate waxing. Muahaha.. No more indepth details..
7) To go for more water sports - Sports and Candice does not go well together. As such, Candice hasnt been doing her sports. Always say wanted to have an open water certificate but again, NATO (no action talk only) nia.. So.. hopefully someone jio me and crash some kachings in, then in order not to waste the investment, will go guai guai attend sessions.. haaha..
8) Cut time spent in Cafe World. Ok. It's a repetitive game. Yet, Candice is having 2 accounts playing.. Cooking and cooking and serving and serving. So boring game. Why am I so addicted? In fact, to cut short of time spent on FB... It really suck up most of my time spent at home... Facing computer at work and home.. Basically I only have less than 8 hours away from computer. The other 16 hours are on the square screen.. OMG... I suddenly feel so 宅女...
9) To be happier.
10) Less stress at work.
11) More outings with friends.
12) More salmon feasting.
13) Less deep fried oily food.

Wow.. Type and type.. It's becoming a long list.. Longer than I expected.. Hehe..

It's been a while.. i know.. missed out one month without blogging.. even my yawning icon also gone cos inactive account.. opps... Had been busy at work these days.. Busy is good.. That means I'm needed in the organisation.. Done off with annual appraisal.. I supposed my sup, my middle boss and my big boss all mostly said the same thing.. 'as a new staff, you had done well and satisfied wif your performance yadda yadda yadda'... To me, I was thinking, I am new staff meh? already one yr liao.. Anyway, i thought i could have performed better, cos my potential limit has yet to unleash.. muahaha.. Well, hopefully next yr will be a more fruitful and challenging one..

Bonus finally got in. Said to be the least compared to the previous years.. I finally get entitled to non-pro rated bonus and yet, due to recession and all, little has been given to us.. but then 有花生吃好过没花生吃。。。 So.. looking forward to Feb/Mar where our annual PB come in.. hope more pay raise.. =)

Christmas! Yes, another 2 weeks' time. Time flies ah... I tink every entry I always say it (time flies).. But i suppose, depends on how one uses their time.. Anyway, Christmas has long started wif bling bling lights lighting up in mid Nov.. Tis yr, I have yet to go town to experience the christmas mood... See the decor and all.. Dun have the mood.. Candice din really feel much abt Christmas.. It's a day where we get to work halfday one day b4.. and a day to rest..

Have you all check out Google Map? It seems like rather scary.. Why? Cos the view of a place is at Street View.. Huh? Okay, for example, for private houses (Terrace houses), just type out the address and tada, a clear view of the specific house. It's somewat infringing ppl's privacy.. or rather, able to be a stalker or worse, terrorist.. But it's fun as well.. I went on a virtual tour back to Perth, when i visited in 2007.. Tour the roads and all.. Hay Street, Murray Street etc.. Memories flooded back.. Maybe next time can try 'touring' other countries...

Going for musical!! It's been long since I went for a musical.. This yr went for Broadway Comedy.. but musical, tml's will be the first and last for this yr.. Not budgeted for.. LOLz..

Last Saturday went to watch a Broadway Comedy, Defending the caveman. Located at DBS Arts Centre, me and co went exploring the place. First time watching a performance there.. Managed to get there 15mins before show start. It's a one man show, talking about differences between guys and gals. Got to agree that Gals go with co-operation and guys go with negotiation. Interesting fun loving show. Laughing non-stop.

A lazy Sunday today.. Went Ktv in the morning.. Came back and did some housechores.. Cleared my stacks of newspapers... I had finally became updated with the latest news! No lags! Haha..

My interest in ukulele (uke for short) is back again! Remembering more one year ago, while I was still with Y, had took up a small 'Hawaii' kinda guitar.. It's Ukulele. Attended 2 sessions, learning the basics and the rest, I had tried to source the songs and learn online.. The songs that my mentor taught were pretty oldies.. Decided to check out newer songs..

Did some uke strummings today. Recently found some real good chords online.. Strum till my fingers ache but still enjoying it~...

Am sick at home! Sianzzz.... Supposedly to go for a much-looking-forward-to ktv session.. But due to my stomach flu and constant run to toilet, I very much hate to but have to give it a miss... Now fever down.. But still lack of appetite... Think lose some weight liao..

Attended Michelle & Jimmy's ROM.. Congrats to both.. After such long courtship, finally officially married... A new journey for them to go... All the best...

Was treated to Swissotel @ Merchant Court. International Buffet.. The food was nice! Had salmon, oysters, scallops, crayfish, sharks' fin, lotsa desserts to choose from. Love the durian dessert as well. Cold D24 durian. Super yummy~!

Met up with Peishi to celebrate my bdae~ Hehe.. Buffet at Suki Sushi! It was so high, cos we kept ordering sashimi... I had not much of other food except sashimi~!! Hello Salmon~~~

My bdae gift from Peishi.. So nice and customised! Had placed on my workstation and my colleagues were wondering who made it for me.. Muahaha...

Went to locate Roland Restaurant's location.. Our D&D venue for this year~ We were like "huh? Roland Restaurant??!! Where the hell is this place? Last yr we were at Shangri-La.. This year Roland Restaurant? Not even a hotel??" Anyway, yeah, a fact is a fact.. May not be going also la.. But heard that it's the restaurant which first came up with the recipe of chilli crab.. So, i guess should have chilli crab on that day.. And since it's at a restaurant, may as well no need to do up much dressing... oh it's Shanghai Nite.. So it's Cheongsam and fan kinda evening.. in a restaurant.. Ho ho ho...

Mooncakes time! Colleague made a red bean arga arga mooncake for us to try.. Not bad. Rather healthy... Yum yum...

Nowadays my Tuesday evenings were spent on some course that my friend pulled me to. It's ceramic art class.

Candice? Art? The last time I had art was in lower Sec Sch.. And I agreed that I'm not that artistic. Sometimes taking photos got some artistic view la.. But the actual painting/moulding? Hmm.. Not to the cut yet.

Apart from moulding of clay stuffs, I had recently registered myself for mooncake making!
It's organised by my empire and after asking around who's interested and no one reverted, I went ahead registering alone. Ended up knowing some other dept ppl also got registered. So we went together.

It was after work. 5.30pm to 7.30pm. When we first stepped into the room, what caught my eyes was this box of piglets. They had such cute innocent eyes! The different ribbons symbolizes different flavors.. Cute right? But to me, I think it's pretty ex!

The 冰皮月饼 also pretty nice. Shape of strawberry, peach, orange and green pumpkin (I tink)..

One month flew off again! And it's my Bdae month.. My bdae week actually...

Updates:

1) Drive outing wif Peishi on 25/07/09.. Went Upper Pierce Reservoir.. Great fine day.. wif ppl flying kites... Peaceful and quiet...

2) Went NDP Preview wif LJ on 01/08/09... Nice performance and great fireworks!

3) Lunch at The Seafood International Market & Restaurant wif Mum, Michelle and Jimmy on 08/08/09.. @ East Coast Park... Less than $30 per pax.. Yummy!

4) Salmon feast on 10/08/09 @ Tampines One... Pretty ex for this plate of sashimi.. Abt $20? Texture and freshness wise.. Hmm.. ok lor..

5) The empire had a mobile phone roadshow which brought Starhub, Singtel and M1 to our place to sell corporate rate to us.. How nice.. Instead of paying the usual price, we get to have at a discounted rate. Had window-shopped and settled my mind to sign line with Singtel. Singtel helped ported my line from Starhub that very nite.. Fast and efficient. And I've gotten my new phone.. SAMSUNG OMNIA II. Touch screen phone.. Found it pretty hard to tap on it.. Guess gotta try to get used to it..

Cos went Ion Orchard to collect my HP, so shun bian go and eat 1-for-1 Ice Cream buffet @ Swensens.. Lotsa toppings and flavors of ice cream to choose from... Love the durian flavored ice cream.. Toppings include cereals, macademnia nuts, almond nuts, cookies, waffles, whipped cream, choc malt balls, lychee and many many more.. Then also have fondue, waffles, cakes and brownies.. Final bill came up to abt $22... So per pax abt $11.. Pretty worth it la.. But not healthy to eat lots.. And there's a limit to how much my stomache can hold.. After one hour, i'm done wif my buffet..

6) Attended Vee's convert.. While waiting for the ceremony, testing out my camera functions.. pretty not bad.. 5 mega pixels..

Yday went watched Harry Potter.. I had been so blur.. Why? Kiasu Candice bought the tickets one week ago and finally on that day itself, Candice forgotten to bring the tickets!!! Poor friend gotta help drive to my house and collect from my mum.. Lucky still in time for the show.. If not, really disappoint my friends.. Enjoyed yummy complimentary Fish & Co... Terriyaki Salmon.. Yum yum...

After the 2.5hr movie, went to Suntec to meet up wif Drifters.. Went makan @ MOF.. Had great time bonding wif them once a while.. 8yr friendship.. and counting...

Today went for Indoor Rock Climbing at Civil Service Club at Farrer Park.. Organised by my empire.. i ask ask ask my whole village my colleagues din wan go wif me.. so i registered myself and go lo..

Sunday morning waking up early is a torture.. Ok.. at abt 8+.. considered early for me la..
But the experience of the climb was great..

Civil Service Club (CSC for short) is a club for civil servants ba.. 1st time there.. Quite ulu also.. There got badminton halls (also where the indoor rock climbing is), tennis courts, swimming pool, restaurants.. Not sure if there's any bowling alley there.. Din really explore much..

Class starts 10.15am.. It's an introductory class. Understand about belaying, wearing of harness, wat to shout when wan do certain actions high up there..

Climb asia is the name.. Has the whole set of stuff for rock climbing..

This is known as the Top-roping, where there is a belayer to support at the bottom. Considered the safest for the rock climbing..

This is bouldering, without any harness.. According to the instructor, this is where most ppl get hurt.. cos wrong falling leads to twist in ankles etc..

Many pebbles to choose to climb onto.. Pain.. cos we din have shoes on.. Putting pressures on legs up a pebble.. Ouch!

This is outdoor climb.. Esp for lead climbing.. Lead climbing is for the professional ones.. Who climb up and hook the rope up for the rest to climb up.. Yet to try this wall.. Too high le!!

After the tedious climb, went home shower, before zooming to town for some high tea @ Goodwood Park Hotel.. Wanted to eat salmon @ Wasabi Teh @ Far East Plaza.. But the super Dao stall is closed on Sundays and public holidays.. no wonder no queue outside.. Anyway the high tea at Goodwood Park was okay loh.. It's local delights.. Had Laksa, chwee kuay, chee cheong fun, glutinuous rice, kuey parti, curry chicken, roti prata etc.. But as my motive was salmon, this replacement doesnt really satisfy my taste buds.. Nevertheless, it was a nice experience.. Had durian strudel as well.. Went there purposely for durians.. Never leave GoodWoodPark without getting the durian related pastries.. Lolz..

Colesaw @ $1.. Pretty big serving.. And not forgetting SALMON SASHIMI.. $4.90.. A little ex.. But the person say can refund if not fresh.. And INDEED IT'S VERY FRESH.. Yummilicious! Great company and great dinner...

Urge of getting capsule toy cos it's kinda cute.. Can put at the workstation ma.. Cost $1 each.. Kept getting the sian sian Snoopy look.. But luck still not wif me.. Still got similars.. Hello... Abit free today.. so decided to blog..

Nothing much.. Busy wif work and all.. Went for the National Runway Cycling @ Paya Lebar Airbase.. Fancy waking up at 6am on Sunday leh.. Me, Han Leng and Lynn reached pretty early.. Got our rented bikes and off we go cycling on the runway.. But we reached the starting point at 7.45am and the flag down to start is at 8.40am.. Diaoz.. Ended up wait loh.. One hour leh.. While waiting, there was entertainment. One beatbox group was doing nice accapella.. Then they decided to sing "Ain't No Sunshine".. I'm like, wah lau.. we abt to cycle le, still singing No Sunshine song.. May as well sing 天黑黑... What the.. The sky had threatened to fall, for there are few dark clouds.. But heng the sun overwhelmed the dark clouds and we managed to cycle under hot sun.. 8.45am, MP and SAFRA big shot came, flagged and there we go.. Got cycling and blading de.. One round was good enuf to make us cycle for one hour.. After that, we rested a while, then checked our names against the lucky winners for the draw.. Ended up, of 3000 ppl, only 50 prizes leh, the possibility is so low.. So went off at around 10am.. Heng heng for me, the free shuttle bus that goes Hougang Bus Interchange will pass by my place.. I went to the volunteer and did some act cute request to let me and co alight halfway.. Of c0s managed to get the young chap agree with me.. So free transport till my house's bus stop.. Not bad activity.. Maybe next year? We'll see... =)

Tuesday was my division's Mid Year Party.. The theme for the nite is Sea.. We did decor relating to the sea.. Had not a bad evening, even though there was some big technical problem.. We were supposed to wow ppl.. But, wow-ed chayed ourselves.. Nvm.. try again next time.. =)

Happy Sunday!

Updates of happenings this week...

Attended Orientation Programme (Part 2) for 1.5days.. Already wif the empire for so long still taking those orientation programme.. Weird huh.. Anyway it was a experiential learning course.. On the first day's teabreak, we had invited VIPs to join us. Most of the Board's directors were around, including the Chief Executive.. I was like, Wow, they made an effort to come down (training @ basement and their offices at the highest level) and mingle wif the greenhorns like us.. Find abit awkward.. Cos dunno wat to say.. I'm only a small little ant and they are big rhinos.. haha.. I wanted to siam.. but the rest already siaming away and I happen to be a more vocal person.. So talk loh.. 'Enjoyed working here.. learnt alot.. yadda yadda yadda'.. Stressed teabreak, didnt get to finish my swiss roll.. But overall the training was fun.. The empire has its own Board Game Sta$h.. It's kinda investment game where we will have to see if we are daring enuf to invest and how much our returns are.. Had to choose a team member to be the token to be moved around.. My team had made good savings and investment but din get into the "Part time job" square.. So din really earn alot.. Ended up we are the 1st runner-up out of 4 teams..

Also had to draw up some shield whereby we gotta list down stuffs:

2) Something I cant tolerate
3) If I had lotsa money, wat shall I do wif it
4) What is our Motto in life

At nite met up wif my ktv khakis and we sang our hearts out. Had super fun time.. We did PK as well.. My friends sang千年之戀 and the crowd wanted me to "踢馆".. So I get another guy to sing wif me lo.. And it's recorded and put onto FB.. OMG.. Seriously I looked so fat wif double chin in the video.. Hai.. But overall, had enjoyed the session..

Next Sunday going for the Runway Cycling.. Looking forward to it.. Hehe.. =)

Couple of changes in my section now.. Instead of 5 peeps we are now downsized to 4 ppl in a team.. Which means more work less ppl = end work late = lesser Facebooking = lesser eat snake time...

Haha.. Anyway will cope with it somehow.. Went for a swim this evening after work.. Went to the newly-renovated ex-company's swimming pool.. Met some ex-colleagues on the way into the building.. The scenery up at the pool was good.. As parts of the walls had been replaced by glass instead, the view of Singapore History Museum was good..

Swim a bit and felt refreshed... Havent been swimming for a while.

After the swim, wanted to eat $0.99 sushi @ The Cathay but the crowd was too overwhelming.. Went to Priscep Street wanted to dine at The Alps, but no reservations.. Fully booked.. Ended at POMO (Previously call Paradiz Centre) and had Japanese Food.. It's a Japanese Foodcourt.. But it doesn't look like any foodcourt as the ambiance was more like a normal Japanese Restaurant.. Me and my company thought that it was a Jap Restaurant, already intending to spend like $20 or so each on fine dining.. Ended up it's a Jap Foodcourt.. Nice though..Had salmon of cos and salmon omu rice 蛋包饭 .. A pity that most of the food there were deep fried.. Had mango ice after tat.. Yummy!!

Had great company this evening.. Hope to continue more often..

Took MC today.. Had spinning migraine.. So din wan go office.. Decided to give myself some rest..

Anyway, shall start on my 8D Korea Escapade...

Day 1 & 2 Seoul
Day 1 was spent travelling there.. Onboard Asiana Airline @ Changi Airport Terminal 2... Met our tour leader from ASA Annie Bong.. She went wif us.. The whole group of 23 of us... My group has:

1) A group of 7 family members
2) 2 sets of couple (One newly married & one set of sexy momma and se peh peh)
3) 2 sets of family of 3 (One aunt travelling wif a niece and newphew, the other set of old married couple wif their mum)
4) Family of 4 (2 teenage daughters, one grad from NUS now wif Ministry of Trade & Industry, the other waiting to go into uni.. Their mum bragged abt it.. tat's how we know..)
5) Me and Kaisa

It's a 6 hours flight.. Time difference @ South Korea is 1hr ahead of Singapore.. Watched Bride Wars on flight.. We reached Seoul Incheon Airport at 6am Korea Time. Was welcomed by our tour guide Coco Han... She's a mixed (Father from China, Mother from Korea.. she's fluent in both languages) Had Dunkin Dounuts' muffin (I dun eat donuts.. so had muffins instead) and a cuppa hot coffee.. After light breakfast at the airport we stepped out ready to board our coach and start our tour.. We were cooly welcomed by the cool breeze that blew against our face.. Temperature at about 12 degrees I think... Cool and not freezing cold.. Shiok.. Like Genting...

1st stop we went, 大长金拍摄地点。。。 The whole culture valley was built up for the shooting.. And due to the popularity of the show, MBC the TV company decided to keep it and make it into a tourist spot.. We visited the kitchen where most of the shows was shot, a walk around and then we reached the villages... All nicely built up...

Lunch: Had Ginseng Chicken Soup with Abalone... Each of us got a 童子鸡.. The lunch I tot was a little too heavy.. A whole chicken to one self.. For me I cant finish it la.. Find a bit wasted.. But tried to finish the chicken.. Note: Upcoming words of '小菜' comprises of Kimchi, ikan bilis (anchovy), raddish, big beansprouts, steamed egg, toufu and fishcake...

Next stop we went Gyeongbok Palace, it's built in 1394 during the Chosun Dynasty. The Palace was built at a very good fengshui place, with a mountain which seemed to have eyes to look over the kingdom. However, some enemies got jealous and got it all burnt down, and the palace we went was a rebuilt one, only left some steps and fences were left from the burnings..

After the historic palace, we moved on to the modern world. Went to Dongdaemun Market 东大门.. Thought it was like a market.. But nonono.. It's a shopping place.. I'm not saying paradise cos most of the clothes doesnt really suit me.. Haha.. Well, we were given like 2hrs of shopping there.. So went Doota! (A more ex shopping mall) and Migliore (cheaper like Bugis Village).. Many things to see la.. but somewat similar.. All machiam in S or M size ones.. For me, I dun seem to find much clothes there.. Though some clothes were selling at 10,000 won (abt S$11.70)... Got a slightly more ex blouse for myself and sis..

Dinnertime! We had been arranged to sit and share the steamboat initially, however, as our side was rather cramped, Kaisa and myself had a whole steamboat to ourselves.. And Coco (our tour guide) kept asking if we wanted to add any more food.. Was telling her we need to add more ppl to help us eat! The veggies steamboat was ok, miso soup base and full of veggies. Main meat was 2 fried fishes.. But me and KS agreed that it had too many little bones and the meat was too tough to eat.. waste food again.. tsk tsk..

Check into our 6 star hotel JW Marriott! It's located in their 江南区, a place where the wealthier Koreans live.. If ppl say they live there, tat means they are rich la.. Anyway, the hotel was so fantastic.. The toilet was the best, with 2 doors opening into the toilet, i think the toilet is just as big as my bedroom at home le.. Let the video and pics do the talking.. We quickly do a little of unpacking (cos will be checking out the next day, so din unpacked all out).. As it was still quite early, the 2 of us decided to explore their 江南区.. Went walking around and found an expensive mall right behind our hotel. It's call Shinsegae and somewat like Taka.. International brands and all.. Coach, Longchamp, Gucci, Blurberry, MGM, YSL etc etc... Even one umbrella cost abt S$40 there.. We chop chop walked around and around 9pm they started 'chasing us out' of the mall le.. So went back to hotel loh..

Hit off the sack, a queen size bed and 6 pillows at around midnight.. Our wake up call comes at 6am...

Day 3 Everland

Had breakfast, hot soya bean milk, 馒头, cabbage, ham, egg, fries, kimchi... Pretty mix mix sia.. Not chinese nor american nor korean... Anyway, just gobbled it down...

Reached Everland, it was raining. Coco explained that when she saw the weather broadcast tat it may rain, she had tried to think of arranging it to other days when we are in Seoul, but due to our very packed schedules and pre-arranged bookings of other venues, we are to stick to visit Everland on this rainy day. For that, we still accepted the fact that we are suay to have rainy seasons...

Nevertheless, we had been provided with white disposable raincoats, somewat looked like white ghosts all around.. All rides were included for us.. Depends on whether wan queue to play or not.. Me and KS went tried a few rides and the rest of the time spent photo taking.. We are the pair of camera whores.. For the rest in our tour group were the boring kind, and din take much photos..

1st ride we went was a safari bus ride into the bears and tigers enclosure.. We get upclose with them, but the animals were really tamed.. Some bears knew wat to do.. Did some tongue sticking out and praying actions.. and of cos, being rewarded with their treats.. For tigers and lions, they just busked themselves under the sun (not so hot sun) and laze their time away.. while the ppl on the safari bus snapped their pics.. There's a mix breed of tiger and lion, call Lie-ger.. Something like tat.. Looked like a clean shaven lion.. yet having some stripes.. Weird combi.. But interesting to know..

Next, we board on the Amazon Express Water Adventure. Covered with some canvas, the 8 of us (KS, me and other 6 tour mbrs) climbed into a round boat and grabbed hold of the rails and down a fast riding water adventure.. Quite fun, din managed to take photos cos sure will covered with water.. By now, our legs are soaked with water.. Glad that KS and me wore sandals while the rest were in track shoes.. Soaking wet sia.. After that we went on to watch a 4D show. Similar to the 4D adventure in Sentosa, we watched some actions by cute little bear bear fighting with big size wolves and saved some treasures and turned the big bad wolf into a stone statue. Though all in korean, glad that there were more actions than words..

It's Springtime at Everland Resort! They are having Flower Carnival from Mar to June, when over 1000 types of flowers from around the world are displayed, among them tulips, roses and cherry blossoms.. We felt as if we were in Holland... Or London.. Lalala...

As most signboards are in Korean and tat the English map were so packed with things that we dunno which to try, we decided to just follow our hearts and see wat's good.. Onboard a 'boat ride' with cute WaWa from all over the world.. Got England, Italy, Scotland, China, India, Japan, and of cos Korean.. The music was so easily hummed tat soon enough, I started to hum wif the music.. 'Lalala lalalala la la la lala...' It's just couple of lala.. but music was really cute..

Tried on some spinning rides.. Noticed the staff in Everland were so full of energy.. Kept singing and moving to the fast paced music..

Snapped a bit of photos at the souvenirs shop.. With the crazy me around, we tried on sexy bunny ears hair band (it's supposed to be cute, but I've posed till too cheesy le), blur spects.. Lotsa keychains and handphone straps.. But i insist not to get those, for it will be a waste.. so just take it as a 'virtual memory', snapped and go...

Travelled on our coach for 2hrs b4 we reached Daegu (Busan aka 釜山市）Had BBQ pork.. Need to wrap in a big veggie, put the meat in, add kimchi and beansprouts and other things you want, then wrapped up and put the whole thing in the mouth.. Quite delicious..

Checked in at The Grand Hotel @ Daegu, din explore the nearby as it was quite late by the time we reached the hotel..

Day 4 BulguksaTemple + Cheomseongdae + Wine Tunnel + Jeju

Had international breakfast in the hotel. Still abit drizzling.. But the weather still as cooling.. We went Bulguksa Temple (佛国寺）. It's designated as a world cultural asset by UNESCO in 1995.. Took pics of the temple and the tower.. Tried some 吐含山玉露水）, heard that can help to revive wellness and maintain youth.. 喝一口，年轻十岁. I poured away my mineral water and got my bottle full of 玉露水... Yumseng!

Next we visited the Cheomseongdae (瞻星台）, the oldest astronomical observatory in Asia. Constructed during the reign of Queen Seondeok, it was used for observing stars in order to forecast the weather. This stone structure is a beautiful combination of straight lines and curves, and was designated a national treasure in 1962. Saw a couple of wang lin.. mountain of tombs of emperors and some unknowns.. It was built into mountain shape so as to prevent robbers to steal the treasure buried together. Inside, it was built wif soil and cement and bricks, and that digging from the side seemed impossible, for the bricks will collapse down. The only way to dig into the treasure is from the top, but then it will be quite high up and pretty much obvious to see the diggers... Interesting to know...

Lunch at Korean Family Restaurant.. Buffet, we take wat we want eat.. At least, think wun waste much cos we only take wat we wanna eat..Not bad, tried the white rice sweet drink.. It's sweet.. haha..

Travelled for 2hrs and we reached Wine Tunnel, a deserted railway tunnel where its temperature is always at 15-16 degrees, perfect to store wine. The wine was made from persimmons (柿子). We each were given 2 glasses of wine inside the cool tunnel.. Yumseng and we snap snap photos..

At Busan Airport, waiting to go over to Jeju Island. We checked in early, saw that there's some internet access, I checked my yahoo and FB, and msn-ed a couple of peeps..

50mins of flight on Asiana Airlines and we've reached Jeju Island. For centuries, the city dwellers in Korea have flocked to Jeju Island for respite. Clean water and unpolluted air are hallmarks of the island, which is slightly bigger than Singapore and located south-west of the Korean Peninsula. Jeju, as informed by Coco, it's a coral island and a honeymoon island where it 有风有雨有太阳，no live volcanoes... Common surnames there includes 高,梁,傅.. And they are not to marry the same surname.. Hmm.. Interesting to know..

Dinner was fresh seafood steamboat. Really fresh that the poor octopus was still moving in the hot pot. Scary.. But tasty.. Our hotel is called Jeju The Hotel, yet again.. But this time round, has a casino in it. Only foreigners can enter the casino.. Still early, we explored the road stalls and shops nearby.. Saw Etude House and ppl inside spoke Chinese.. Mostly chinese, they managed to coax us in getting facial pdts from there.. Of which, it was really quite cheap, compared to Singapore... One mask there costing abt s$1+ as compared to S$3 in Sg.. Bought a couple and went back to the hotel, trying our luck at the casino.. Ended up losing 10,000 won at 大小 table.. SGD11.70.... Funny thing is that, they still use the chinese 大小 words.. Tot it will be written in korean.. but nope, similar to wat i saw in Genting casino..

Day5 Yongduam Rock + Seongsan Sunrise Peak+ Submarine + horse riding + Teddy Bear + Mysterious Road + Nanta Show

Day 5 starts with breakfast at 恩近韩定食.. Buffet of scrambled eggs, kimchi, cabbage, bean sprouts, ham... and abalone porridge... sweet...

First stop we reached the Yongduam Rock (Dragon Head Rock 龙头岩), an unusual lava formation in the shape of a screaming dragon with its body submerged in the sea.. Must have imagination and creativity in order to see the formation. I preferred taking photos of the clear blue sea though... Took photos wif the 土地公公, their lucky charm there.. Said to have touch the nose of the 土地公公, you will have good luck and give birth to sons..

Next we were to gear up and climb the Seongsan Sunrise Peak.. It was risen from under the sea in a volcanic eruption about 100,000 years ago.. It will be a tedious and leg aching climb to get to the top, so as agreed with KS, we decided to go till half of the mountain, beautiful enuf to take photos will do. So we did, go up halfway, find a lesser ppl place, and started our cameras rolling (snapping away).. The place is beautiful, from 'half-mountain' view, saw little dots of colorful houses, the clear blue skies, many other mountains and the sea. We found some purple flowers blooming away, hence not wanting to waste it's growth, we almost lay down on the green grass and took pics..

Embarking on Submarine tour next. Took a boat ride to Cow Island and hop into the submarine.. We get to have a spectacular view of the ocean floor (as far as 30m undersea) through the little portholes in the submarine.. A diver wif fish food will swim past our portholes, having schools of little fishes for us to snap snap photos.. Redang snorkelling was better, for the 2 types of fishes may be a bit boring to see after a while..

On the way to lunch, we saw a whole field of yellow flowers. Coco requested the driver to stop and after getting permission from the farmer, we all jumped into the sea of 油菜花.. Beautiful...

Lunch was in a little barn-like hut in 青春庄.. Their houses had been requested by the government to maintain its roof top, not to rebuild.. So as to keep its cultural alive.. We had BBQ Pork ('Deiji Bre-Gor-gi' where 'deiji' refers to pork) and other 小菜s. After eating we took pics of little black boar.. Cute and yet had to face the fact that one day it will be 桌上美味佳肴...

Enjoyed Horse Riding next! Used to went onto camel in Perth, now in Korea, get to hop on a tamed horse.. It will follow the leader horse and will run if the leader runs.. Very very well tamed..

1hr coach journey and we reached Teddy Bear Museum. It the Must visit place and where the korean drama <<宫>> had some footage in it.. Lotsa bears inside, 3 floors of galleries.. We were so into photo taking that we did not have time to take the outdoor bears... A bit wasted..

The Mysterious Road up next. 神秘道路. Drive uphill with the engine off. How can that be? It is due to the fact that the volcanic eruptions in the past had caused the downward road became a uphill phenomenon.. Water poured onto the road seemed to flow upwards... Thought it was not so obvious... But still took photos of the cute monuments near it..

Dinner was Bibimbab (石锅拌饭）and veggies steamboat.. and more 小菜s...

After dinner we went to watch the NANTA Show.. 'NANTA' is a non-verbal performance of free rhythmical movements that dramatize customary Korean percussions in a strikingly comedic stage show. Integrating unique Korean traditional drumbeats in a western performance style, NANTA storms into a huge kitchen where four capricious cooks are preparing a wedding banquet. While cooking, they turn all kinds of kitchen items - pots, pans, dishes, knives, chopping boards, water bottles, brooms and even each other- into percussion instruments.

After the NANTA, we headed back to hotel, after a fun full day...

Day6 Jeju back to Seoul + Strawberries + Phoenix Park

Day 6 International Breakfast in hotel.. We go on the flight back to Seoul.. Had 1.5hrs coach ride to our lunch makan place.. during which Coco taught us the 3 Bears song from Full House..

But as our tour group belong to the sian type, no one seemed to be interested in the song singing.. Even ex-choir members like me and KS, we din sing. I din sing cos I was doing the video recording of Coco singing.. Haha..

Lunch was Tat Tori Tang (Potato + chicken soup).. and more 小菜s.. Had strawberries for dessert.. Wasnt in the itinerary but Coco brought us to have a buffet of strawberries.. I had never never eaten a whole strawberry before. It was really like my first time trying.. Previously only tried those strawberry pokky sticks or ice cream.. Fruit itself, first time. We go into this enclosure, and start to choose wat we want.. Actually each of us were entitled to 5 strawberries.. But I din eat much.. Took about 3 only.. Coco had given us one pack each as a gift to us..

2 hours coach ride and reached Phoenix Park Resort to enjoy the Blue Canyon Water Themepark. Blue Canyon’s indoor and outdoor facilities are designed with blue and white tones and it has other various water park rides. Including ‘Wave River,’ regularly continuing waves, and ‘Up Hill Slide,’ fifth floor height slide, there are many other popular facilities located indoor and outdoor..

After soaking in different jacuzzi and oozes of water pipes, all fresh from a good water massage, we explored the Phoenix Park Resort. Saw Sakura, sweet cherry blossoms... Temperature there was colder with temperatures falling to 9 degrees at night. We had dumpling steamboat.. After which, went to their Family Mart and got some ice cream, trying to enjoy the thrills of eating cold ice cream in cold weather. Did I mentioned that me and KS were the only ones without jackets and in T-shirts and berms while the rest were 'coated' with warmth wear?? Enjoyed the surge of cool breeze.. In our hotel there was some story abt the 秋天的童话.. So took pics with the life size posters.. Won Bin... Ahh...

Day7 Presidental Blue House Chang Wadae+Ginseng + Faceshop+ Shinchon+Lotte World + JW Marriott

International Breakfast in the hotel.. Food wise, similar to the other hotels..

This morning we visited the Presidential Blue House.. And Chung Wadae (青瓦台）.. Took pics with the Seoul Police.. They were on roller blades.. Think in their NS only la.. Both looked young and blur.. Haha..

Stopped at the Korean Ginseng store, a place where passports must be shown to prove our identities. At there, we sampled some korean ginseng extracts and that's where pressure selling takes place. Salesperson started selling the most expensive stuff.. All things in USD.. Starting price USD400... All 23 of us in a small room with about 8 salespersons around.. I felt very uncomfortable and stepped out of the room to take photos of the ginseng instead.. The other tour group members were very satisfied with their purchases, buying up to USD5000.. Poor Candice can only oohh and ahh oogle at it... With or without ginseng, I will still survive.. Haahaa..

Next spree place is The Face Shop... That's where I really did a mini spree.. BB Cream, facial masks, eye cream.. I bought quite a bit of facial mask.. As a gift to mum, sis and friends.. and myself.. Happier here.. cos that's wat I wan to buy.. Unlike the ginseng place..

Lunch at Korean Restaurant, steamboat.. Next, we did some shopping at Shinchon Fashion Street.. 新春街.. Similar but cheaper than 东大门.. Also nothing much to shop.. We went snapping pics at a nearby Woman University..

Went Lotte World.. An indoor theme park connected with Lotte Hotel and Lotte Department Store, Lotte World is the Korean recreation center most frequently visited by foreigners. Lotte World consists of the indoor amusement park “Adventure” and an outdoor one as well, dubbed “Magic Island.” The outdoor Magic Island has numerous, thrill-packed attractions. Even the castle itself is an awesome background for photographs. At the indoor facility, “Adventure,” the Masquerade is held from 7:30 pm to 8 pm.. Took lotsa pics there..

Checked into JW Marriott Hotel again, our fave hotel.. Video recorded KS and my thoughts for the whole trip. We did once in Perth, so I requested that we do it again.. This time, in our large bathtub.. With both of us inside.. Packed our luggages and enjoy the last nite in Seoul...

Day8 Amethyst Factory+Kimchi Making + Hanbok+ back to Singapore

Our last day @ South Korea. We visit the Amethyst factory where we see a wide range of purple rock craved into expensive jewelleries.. Same as the Korean Ginseng shop, lotsa salespersons there, doing pressure selling.. I snapped photos and waited outside.. Think this time round, not many ppl bought a lot from here.. Carrying a piece of expensive rock back? I rather spend on food and facial pdts...

We made our way to the Korea Traditional Cultural Centre where we learn to make kimchi and wear hanbok, the traditional Korean costume.. Took photos with the whole group for the first and last time also...

Proceed to the Local provision shop and did a last minute spree on local food such as ginseng sweets, chocolates, seaweed... Flew back via Asiana Airlines, watched Slumdog Millionnaire onboard.. reaching Singapore at 9.30pm Singapore time... Returned Singapore with great memories of South Korea...

People, do take care.. H1N1 (aka Swine Flu aka Influenza A aka Mexico Flu and watever crap they decided to name the disease) is spreading to the whole world.. Some said it is worse than SARS. Great relief that currently Asia isn't been most affected.. My overseas trip should still proceed as planned..

Today our big big boss had a last min briefing abt the H1N1.. Mentioned that should we visit the affected countries, we gotta do home quarantine for 7 days. Cos the country i'm going has a suspected case, which means that after my trip I had to be home quarantined??!!! Plus, it will be deducted from my AL.. Sianz.. May as well go for some wisdom tooth extraction and had MC, dun waste my AL.. I was like, the country only got one suspected case, and the country isnt as small as Singapore loh, why make a NN big fuss abt home quarantine? For 7 days (5 working days affected). My work will be affected, my colleagues will be affected cos need to cover my work.. But my sup say need not to be home quarantined.. Unless I really went Mexico la.. So.. to listen to who leh.. we'll see..

I can't think of what will happen should I be home quarantined.. Means can't step out of the house at all?? But, I did/will come into contact with my family members who will go out.. Then how leh? Let me cast a scenario of what I will be doing should I be quarantined for 7 days...

Day 1: Happily reminiscing abt the trip.. One day after my happy travelling.. Unpack luggage, wash up clothes, look at those hundreds of photos taken, telling stories abt my trip to family.. Fully utilised!

Day 2: Still reminiscing.. Resizing photos, ready to upload and share.. Check yahoo mails (not able to check office emails @ home so totally no work stuff for me), FB...

Day 3: Clear 8days+ worth of newspapers + i-mag... FB...

Day 4: Read newspapers.. FB...

Day 5: Halfway stoning already.. FB..

Day 6: Is that a cobweb on my hair? Too oily hair? FB...

Day 7: Rotten liao.. Nua till can't nua..

Haha.. That is a scenario nia.. of cos, in real, it may be somewat similar.. but may change due to unforeseen circumstances.. But I can't stay at home for so long one..

Really, if there is no internet, how life could be.. Perhaps catch up with some reading.. My DB collections.. Hmm...

Well, hopefully this episode will end off soon.. This year.. Tough year... The only thing I'm looking forward too, of cos, 4 more days to the TAKEOFF!

Yah... had left it not updated for quite a while.. Since mid Feb.. Now is already late April.. Time flies isnt it?

Anyway with time zooming off like F1.. I seriously can't recall things that happened in Feb. In fact, I can't even remember what I eat days ago, let alone 6weeks ago.. Hence, a short and quick summary of happenings... With the help of my little red organiser.. I think i rely heavily on my organiser nowadays.. It has been a helpful tool to me since last Aug. 120409: High Tea @ Illuma at Bugis. This Chinese restaurant at top floor near Gaming Arcade offers a great view of Bugis. Too bad isnt that high up, but good enuf to see the National Library and Parco Bugis as well as the hotel next to it.. Oh ya, the food was at 20% off and has a new concept for its 小笼包. It was in a mini pie foil.. In such a way that the soup will still spill into the little foil if the skin gets tear off.. Overall dining experience, not bad, great food, great view, great company... =) I'm an easily satisfied person...

140409: 1st discussion meetup for Vee's Engagement Party.. Vee treated me and PS ice blended raspberries mocha (See pic).. And dinner was @ Mackenzie Restaurant.. Vee and Dzul had everything planned out.. They just informed us of our roles and we got to know abt the traditional of a Malay Wedding Proposal.. It was really interesting and new to learn.. Very very different from Chinese style, just go restaurant and talk about the price.. The Malays made it a big fan fare.. More pic on the engagement party coming up...

Oh ya, in case you all wondering why we wear the same color here... That was really pure coincidence! 默契 that we had.. Really...

Thursday: Finally get to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Watched the trailer, read the critics, watch the makings.. Left only the movie itself.. Was so tempted to watch online.. But thought the CG is so fantastic that I decided to 'tong' till the movie itself.. If not then no surprise anymore... Anyway, it's Super super worth watching, after waiting for quite a while for this show.

Why super super leh? 5 reasons from me..

1) Brad Pitt is 帅.
2) 2hr 46 minutes, a bit long, but I dun feel it's that long. Time flies when you're enjoying isn't it?
3) The CG makes the movie so perfect.
4) Refer to Point 1
5) The girl not bad also la, not as hot as Angelina Jolie. But still refer to Point 1.

I thought, Brad Pitt.. 46 years old (Born in 18 Dec 1963), still very handsome wor.. Can act as a young chap of 25 yr old.. WoW! Photos to prove!

Friday the 13th...
Managed to pass the 1st Friday the 13th smoothly.. Had actually took leave from work.. Did some errands wif mum in the morning.. Then went to 太岁庙and 四马路观音庙 to pray.. Explored Bugis Village for a while.. My mum's first time there... Told her there were so many shops to explore.. But unfortunately many shops are for younger ppl.. Me and mum dun really fit in that place..

After parted ways wif my mum (Mum's going home.. am not tat early home gal), decided to spend some time in the library while waiting for friend. Havent really step into the library for a while. The last time I went was for a musical in the Drama Centre (Snow White).. So this time round, trying to get my day off well spent, decided to step into the 'world of information'.. Wanted to look for one book, checked its status, seemed very popular.. all on loan.. so just grabbed a novel from Jude Deveraux.. Havent been reading her series for quite some time.. 4 yrs ago? Loved the Montgomery Family.. Always rich, handsome, well built guys...

Spent a couple of hours there.. Met YX at about 6pm. Made our way to get nice nice mango cake @ Jack's Place for Evonne's 25th... Went for sushi after meeting Evonne.. Yummy cheap and good salmon... Suki Sushi @ Cine.. After that, we walked back to Lido side's Party World for a round of K..

PartyWorld at International Building is a new branch set up. It has similar light up table as TopOne. And additions, they have clappers, tamborine & shakers.. Basically those not singing can also join in the fun by making sound. New to me.. Perhaps I havent K for a while.. so not sure that things have improved. However, timing was rather short.. 3 hours only.. We sang from 8pm to 11pm.. Not shiok enuf.. Quite expensive also for a 3 hr booking.. Next time gotta go TopOne to sing our hearts out.. Lolz...

Jan 09: Happy 2009! Count down @ home.. Din like crowds.. So done some counting down, set my 1000+ resolutions and zzz... Jan 09 was the month where I had lotsa presentations till I forgotten how many presentations I had made.. About audits.. and other stuffs.. Meetings after meetings.. One day can have 3 'take-up-lotsa-time-and-not-much-progress' meetings/discussions/sharings.. To wat it means.. It still is the same.. Opps.. Hoping that no one @ work knows my blog.. Lolz..

Chinese New Year: Only went house visits on the first day.. 2nd day already out wif friends.. 3rd day start work. Not much of a CNY mood. Yes, I did went Chinatown.. Yes, I did try to go into the crowds (though it's not my most fave thing to do).. I still dun have the CNY mood.. I can't remember how many Sianz I had wrote for the past 15 days of CNY.. I think I had more mandarin oranges last year than I had for this year.. I only took 1 full Mandarin Orange this year.. Hmm.. why am i blogging abt mandarin oranges in the first place??

Feb 09: Happy V Month..
Love is in the air~ I dun even feel the CNY mood and in a few hours time, it's gone! Even the CNY TOTO that I shared wif colleagues din win.. I'm the kind who buys Toto once a year.. which is the CNY TOTO.. and yet, still din let me win. Perhaps I'm bound to be a donor.. This year shared with 20+ colleagues get the $288 Ang Bao one.. Also din win.. I suspected that I'm the one who dragged down their luck.. Haha.. Candice hence have to survive on her peanuts pay and wait till money falls from the sky.. Hey, Garment giving out money soon le ma.. Heard it's more this time round.. Haha.. Dun ask me how much, I also dunno.. So long I got more to spend can le..

Oh ya, this month is the V Month.. Already received some interesting stuff in the office.. Today gotten a wrapped present inside an envelope via internal courier (CU).. Addressed to me.. Sender: None.. Ppl always abuse our own CU ppl.. During christmas time, then lotsa presents also sent via CU.. CNY then CU red packets (empty ones for others to bao Ang Bao), then cos our health fruit for Jan was oranges, then ppl also CU oranges to other places to other ppl.. I was thinking by the time it reaches the recipient then already become orange juice loh.. But anyway, I suspect it's one of my colleagues' doing.. Playing pranks.. haahaa.. Or perhaps.. who knows...

Reminds me of last yr.. also an unwanted bear.. at my workstation.. The nice cuddly bear ended up wif Charmaine, my ex colleague.. Lolz..

I'm 3 months old! Haha.. Took a half day leave to celebrate this occasion..

Was at Change Alley (Previously known as Chervon House) this afternoon doing some charity work.. Today is the longest time that I had ever spent in Raffles Place.. 3 hours.. Seldom go there.. Cos din really like the feeling there. I thought it's a stressful place, everyone has the same emotionless face, taking quick steps and wear branded goods.. I had long decided that my venue of my job will not be there.. Good thing my current one is at Tanjong Pagar.. At least got humane atmosphere.. Lolz..

This is the Christmas Tree of Life.. The children in the photo cards are waiting to be sponsored.. 有钱出钱，没钱我出力.. Wat I did was to get the public make a difference in the child's life. The public can also provide them with a one time christmas gift (which many did).. During the 3 hrs there, managed to get 2 sponsors for the children.. Knowing that the children have the chance to have clean clothes, better education, better health care etc, this kinda satisfaction.. Priceless... Had a good day... =)

Many times, when I log in, I try to write something.. But somehow, I can't think of wat to share.. So I decided not to blog at all.. Perhaps my life is just pure boring.. Work, home, work, home, out with friends.. Time flies after the age of 21. For this year, it flew pretty fast.

Year 2008 is coming to an end.. A recollection perhaps?

Candice has been doing... Good this year. I think..

1) Gotten her driving licence in July after one stupid failure in May. Damn the first examiner! I still insist that he is the one who made me caused the immediate failure error.. ARGH...
2) Quit YMCA and join Stat Board in Sept... Enjoying there.. Happy 3 months tml (15 Dec)!
3) Learnt a musical instrument.. Ukulele.. Havent been strumming that frequently le..
4) Went overseas: Genting (twice), JB (5 times? Can't remember le), Redang (once, ahh.. missing the sea there..), Batam (once)... Noticed that all has been within coach/ferry distance.. Candice is too poor this year to fly.. Saded..
5) Made quite a number of new friends... Welcome to my world..

The rest... Pretty much the same.. Didn't really make a great impact this year..

Side track: Had a great D&D this year! The theme was Retro..

Wanted to upload some of the dinner pics.. But it seems that colleague has been busy and din have time to send me and that I have no digi cam.. so.. Pls wait patiently.. In the meanwhile here it is.. My D&D glamour shot.. Havent took this kinda glamour shot for a while le..

One month has gone again! Been with the Board for about 2 months.. Happily settling down, things has come out nice and smooth.. Known lotsa new colleagues and explored some of the other departments.. Had couple of interesting events.. Celebrating Monthly Bdaes, different meetings to attend to, different briefings and trainings.. Time flies while working here.. Life's still good..

I guess I'm pure lazy to update.. And my English ain't that flowerly, nothing much to interest my readers. haha.. But anyway, am still keeping and at times I read my own loh.. Self entertain.. Lolz..

Anyway, havent been updating for a long time.. Quick update!

1) Last Sat went to TopOne with Michelle and Jimmy.. Wah, how we enjoyed singing.. From 11am to 6pm, we really fully utilize the time spent.. TopOne offers bento set at $3.50.. Comes with spicy long beans, 1 chicken wing, 3 watermelon, white rice.. It's yummy...

2) Went met up with Peishi.. Had a great chat and updates... Walked from Far East to PS.. When we were about to go home, I realised that I can't find my EZ-link card.. Searched my whole bag and can't find it.. Asked Peishi to help search.. Also can't find it.. My mind was in a blank state.. Mine is SMRT-Citibank EZ link card.. If it's lost, gotta report to many places and possibility of mass swiping.. Was really suffering from cold sweat... When we are about to make our way to MacDonald's House (Citibank) to cancel my card, my instinction prompted me to search again.. Strangely enough, I found it.. So super blur me...

3) Tml marks my 1 month at my new company.. So fast time flies! Had learnt a lot, had fun a lot and know more ppl..

Am feeling very sleepy these days.. Decided to hit the sack early tonight.. Was telling my mum that I go zzz at 9pm tonight, ended up I'm still online.. Mum's saying, "你上网就不用早睡了!" Which is kinda true loh.. I'm still here.. Lolz..

Selamat Hari Raya eve! Govt paid out! Wee~ Money money come... Going to spend it tml le.. lol...

Am busy with work... Today cos it's raining during lunch, me and my colleague decided to eat downstairs at my workplace. Both PastaMania and Sakae Sushi got lotsa ppl, we ended up eating ba chor mee.. The auntie was so generous with her chilli.. It was actually not bad, especially the fishballs were different from others.. It was deep fried and the inside of the fishball has soup.. Hmm.. how to say leh.. It's nice lah.. but dunno why ba chor mee inside got one fishball.. maybe i'm in luck...

Nowadays quite like one song, Cry on my shoulder... Nice song loh.. except for the awkward movements that the singers were doing.. Their voices were pretty good...

Will the non-asians deliberately travel half the globe to watch a race? Maybe for the fans, it is worth the effort and money. Sure, the organisers really made a lot. Or rather, Singapore also made a lot. Hotel rates get high, taxi fares also get a chance to increase price, shopping suddenly have midnight shopping. . Blah blah blah... Come Money Come into Singapore... Oh, one good thing to note also, like at least got 3 ERPs are closed during the 3 days (well, Sunday dun have lah so 2 days nia). Good for drivers?

For the normal OL like me, I just hope that the F1 finishes soon and I can shun shun li li smoothly return to take my Bus 70, which happens to go pass Nicoll Highway there and genna jam in the mornings due to F1 road blockages.. (..... Candice ranted on complaining abt the inconveniences caused due to this F1...)So I'm partly looking forward to it to end soon and get on with my usual life.. I din want to join the MRT and NEL ppl with the jam...

Oh yah, I received an email saying about F1 accident even before the race itself.. It also mentioned that ppl opening it must not have a weak heart.. Here's a photo of it...

Today experienced a super jam! Due to F1 again, roads has been routed and I got stuck at Suntec for freaking 20mins.. even walking is faster than the bus.. But I can't alight at Suntec Bus Stop, so no choice, sms-ed my superior that I will be late.. Ended up late for 5mins.. Good thing I always reach office early... Tml will start taking NEL le..

Candice is overwhelmed with daily emails.. Enjoyed having so many emails coming in.. Lolz.. Though still a bit uncomfy with 莲花, I'm sure in short time I can master it one..

Today one of my big shots sent an email and informed that I will represent the division to do something. Another activity... OMG, the division (whole group of 100+ pax).. Dunno what's coming up for me.. I only reply 'noted with thanks' loh.. Should embrace new things in new environment..

Lunch was @ Amoy Street.. Yummy Jap food.. Supposed to spend less than $3, ended up spending $6 on Salmon set.. But still worth it cos it's yummylicious..

Today marks my one week here at my new job.. Coping well? Hmm.. should be bah.. ok loh...

Undergone a test today! It's a 'die-die-gotta-100%-pass' test. I spent 1hr reading up the modules.. Was a 30mins test, 30 questions.. my first try I spent 9mins+, ended up, FAIL @ 93%. Tried again, 2nd try finished at 6mins+, FAILED again @ 96%! ARGH! So demoralised... So went for lunch and decided to try the test after that... Finally at 3rd try I asked my colleagues to help, of which they told me they forgotten le... Faint.. I heck care le.. Finished in 5mins+... Ended up PASS.. 100%...

Had been asked to represent my dept in one of the activities held... Looking forward to knowing more ppl in the company...

3rd day @ work.. had more or less understand what I'm going to do.. Not bad.. Little challenging and should be able to cope...

Today met up with my Director of my division.. Wow, he knows my name. And the fact that he made an effort to remember all our names had wowed me.. For your info, my division has more than 120 staff (including 90+ CSOs) and he is able to call everyone by their names! I'm impressed. My new work place is super big, with so many divisions and departments.. I have yet to know all yet..

Am starting to like the working environment. The people in my dept are very nice peeps.. My induction prog took 2 days but I can't finish all..

Till now, am overwhelmed with information abt the organisation. It has so many divisions and departments and sub-depts! Still trying to figure out everything.. Everyone has been telling me that it's okay, it takes time.. I'm trying to absorb as much as I can..

Moving on, I am no longer working at the Y- Company, for those who may like to know.. I moved onto govt sector where you need SingPass to log in. Am starting my new job next Monday, 15 Sept. Exactly one month after I left my previous job.. Thought I will slack for a longer time (cos I kinda quit without a job).. A bit ambitious right? Who says must secure a job first before you quit? 老娘就是不想干，在家摇脚也爽... So I bravely tendered without a job..

My Plan was:
Quit in July, Last day in Aug, Start Find Jobs in Early Sept, Start work by End Sept.

My Actual was:

Last last Sat (30/08/08) went Sentosa again! This time round, went with Michelle and Jimmy...

We went to Butterfly Park.. First time inside.. I'm not a fan of butterfly (due to long long time ago watch the Singapore Serials lah.. 迷离夜.. Phobia of Butterfly... But anyway, they seemed harmless.. No harm no harm no harm... (Lame...)

Went to watch Song of the Sea also.. Not bad.. Music+ lighting+laser+water+fireworks.. Hmm.. worth the money for the experience...

老娘二十五岁了！ I used to be growing up, now, I'm just growing old!

Anyway, had a series of celebration these few days.. First was last Sat Yatch Party...

Birthday Celebration Part 2 (Tuesday)
Went to TopOne KTV opposite Bugis Junction with sis and cousin. The timing is from 11am to 6pm and it cost like $16nett. Thought it was quite worth it as there's free flow of drinks (choice of 6 drinks to choose from). Unlike KBox where they had a limit of 30 songs in queue, TopOne allows users to select as many songs as they like. We almost ran out of songs to select cos we were having 200 songs in queue! A little hiccups in initial use of their song selection system. The screen is super big and they have choice of soft lighting, stage lightings and disco lights.. They also have a smoke button, but it dun seem to be working...

We had large cups of drinks, but mostly were syrup water lah.. Preferred most is the green tea.. cos it's the least syrup taste... lolz.. Their microphones were cleanly covered with microphone cover... By the time when the list cut off at 6pm, we still have about 100+ songs yet to sing..

Sis and Couz forgot about the candle.. They did creative 'blowing off the invisible candle' celebrations for me instead.. Lolz..

To the Neo Clan: Thanks for the Creative earphones! Great for virtual haircut! Haha..

Evening time was spent dining with family, had a heavy yummy dinner...

Wednesday evening was spent with Drifters. We went Taka Imperial Treasure for dinner.. After dinner we went Coffee Club Express to cut my cake! Had great time catching up with the rest..

Birthday Celebration Part 4 (Thursday 280808)

Morning was spent with Kaisa.. Went KTV again.. Lolz.. We were given super big room with 2 flat screen TV. So nice of them. I think it's due to the fact that it's weekday and not much human flow so they gave us a big room. Food was also not bad.. We went walking around AMK hub before I went off to Bishan..

Went to Bishan Library for a while.. Went to pay my fine for late return of books.. Haiz... Then look out of some motivation books to read..

Met Lijin for dinner at Cafe Cartel. Love their chicken chop.. Yummy.. Did girls' talk for the rest of the evening..

Birthday Celebration at ONEº15 Marina Club

My ex-colleague (Cat Cat, Evonne, Yuan Xin) had planned a suprise birthday celebration last Sat for me and din really let me know till last Thurs. Ended up gotta reschedule 3 other events.. So sorry for my dear friends for the changes of timings...

Anyway, they came up with getting a yatch party for me! Cat Cat asked Xiao Yan, a friend of ours, for use of her yatch. Instantly she agreed and was the most busiest for the day organising the party.

We went for some lunch makan at Chinatown. Had a super big plate of chicken as well as a super big bowl of fish. Heavy lunch.. The restaurant belonged to a friend of Cat Cat and we had like a big discount! And they knew about my birthday celebration, came up with the longevity noodles and a dessert red date glutinous rice and brought it over to our table, with the music Happy Birthday playing in the background... How nice...

After that we made our way to Vivo where Xiao Yan drove us all into Sentosa Cove, ONEº15 Marina Club where her yatch is. There was still light drizzles when we reached there, din really get to take much nice photos..

Xiao Yan has gotten the KTV system in her yatch and the songs were pretty much updated.. We were taking lotsa pictures when Cat Cat started her hogging of song singing.. Snap snap snap..

I brought poker cards so we started our rounds of Big 2.. Lolz.. Managed to see the fireworks display (Fireworks Fest) from Sentosa, though 'muted', the nice nice fireworks wasn't missed at all (except for those low sparkles).

We had fun till about 3am.. Reached home tired but happy...

Really thankful to the beauties and 'beasts'...

Thursday 31/07/08

Cat Cat, Yuan Xin, Evonne & I gathered at Golden Mile waiting for coach to go to Redang. We booked 5 Stars.. Depart 10.30pm. Throughout the bus journey, the movie (only 1 TV for all to use) was playing 'Never Cry Werewolf'. It was bloody and disturbing, and it's the eve of the Chinese ***** Month. Great, Candice was disgusted.. Candice decided to plug into mp3 and listen to songs to dooze off.

Reached Yong Peng at about 11.30pm. Had some lou mai gai (Rm 4).. Still can't find the comfort position to sleep... Genna a big 黑青 while on coach. (Yet to heal till now...)

Day 1 (officially) Friday 01/08/08
7.30am: Reach Kuala Terengganu Syahbandar Jetty and being notified that the ferry will come at 9am. So we went buying out breakfast.. A group of young Malaysians (think around 14 of them, aged around 20 to 27) in our coach also decided to follow us.. I led my group in search for breakfast... We went to a marketplace.. Very old and dirty market.. Something like Chinatown one, without the eatery at level 2... Bought some bread and hot drinks there.. The big Malaysian group left us.. So the 4 of us went to a hut-like shelter and enjoyed our breakfast. Played Big2 as well.

9am: Ferry's here. It's a 1.5hr ferry ride. They played 'Die Hard 4' on board. Much Much Much better than the coach movie. Halfway through, we gotta transfer to a smaller boat to get to the jetty.

11am: Selemat Datang Dia Pulau Redang! Finally reached Redang. Hello Clear Skies, White Sand and SeaWaves! We checked in at Redang Beach Resort and explore the place before lunch.

Someone did some interesting sand building... no longer does ppl build sand castles...

Lunch was great. Chinese style, comes with hot soup... Yummy..

After that, we went for our first snorkelling... Very first time snorkelling.. Very excited.. Saw couple of fishes and corals... There's one call mushroom coral (there's another name, but dunno what is it) Enjoyed it much!

Tea Break! We had butter cakes and hot tea/coffee and some longgan hot dessert.. Yummy as well!

After the snorkelling and tea break, we had time to ourselves before dinner at 7.30pm. We went explore the place and bought souvenirs...

Dinner was also good! Yummy! We had rice, veggies, fish, curry chicken, lotus and peanuts soup..
After dinner, we went foot massage before going the party starts at 9pm.

Got myself a temp tattoo spray at RM20. Butterfly at left ankle..

9pm: Party starts and great music was being played. But many peeps quite pai seh to dance at the dancefloor, so decided to sit at one side listen to music...

Went back to room and did some shots... 床照！Looks a bit like the actress genna caught in the act early this year.. Lolz... Played Big2 again...

Day 2: 02/08/08
Woke up at about 7am+ as the breakfast was served at 7.30am. Had some bread and beehoon..

10am: Gotten ready to go to Redang Marine Park!

Too bad Evonne does not want to go down into the sea.. This is the best and should never miss activity. We rented a underwater digi cam at RM50. The place is beautiful. The staff in charge passed us some mouldy bread (to feed fishies) and we made our way down to the sea. Was hesitant to touch the bread cos it was so mouldy.. But we still took it down.

There's lotsa fish there! As there were 3 of us in the group, one of us became the camera person, one be the feeder of the fish and the one to be shot. So we take turns doing it. But I'm not good in taking photos underwater (dunno why can never take it right) so most of the time I'm the feeder of the group. One thing good is that, fishies come my way! Some even tried to snatch my bread.. Some did fish therapy on my arm (suck my skin...)...

Had lotsa fun underwater... Back to the resort at 1pm for lunch. Food was really good again..

They had arranged another snorkelling trip but as another one in our group was too tired for it, we all gave it a missed and did our own activity on the island. Had sunburnt on this day...

Night: We had BBQ dinner! There's a chance for us to do our own BBQ, but as I had nicely showered and was refreshed, din want to go near the BBQ pit.. We had the buffet spread instead.. We went to the live music place to chill out and play Big2. As we need to check out at 6am in the morning (Yes, 6am) we went back to the room early to pack. Zzzz at about 12midnight...

Day 3: Sunday 03/08/08 Goodbye to Redang

Checkout was super early. As the ferry will leave at 6am, our breakfast was served at 5.30am. I woke up at 4.30am to shower and packed my final bit of stuff. It was too early for me to munch down lotsa food. Had 2 bread and one cuppa tea before we all walked to the jetty. It was super pitch dark as we walked to jetty.. Machiam like illegal immigrants or Lost... Lolz.. Very few ppl talked on the boat cos everyone's rather sleepy or haven't really woke up... We changed into a bigger boat halfway near the Marine Park...

Back at Kuala Terengganu Syahbandar Jetty at about 7.30am. Our coach will reach at 11am. We have like 4hours to hang out. We explored around the area, hoping to munch down some fastfood. Walked for like 20mins, asking around for MacDonald's and yes, we did found one. But upon seeing a big signboard of KFC while walking towards MacDonald's, YX decided to get us going to KFC. I seconded it cos I remembered someone telling me not to miss KFC if I am in Malaysia.. We managed to coax the other 2 to do another 5mins walk to the KFC. We were disappointed that the 2 storey KFC was down for renovation! Genna scolded by the other two as we made our way back to the MacDonald's. Ended up MacDonald's also not open.. But supposed to be open at 9am, they din loh...

Had some Malay rice with curry chicken and a cuppa ice milk tea for RM 5.20 instead.. Cheap and good... Went back to MacDonald's at around 10.20am. Finally it's open... We bought our lunch (to be at our own expense), geared up for the ride back...

Coach finally reached at 11.30am! Good Gracious me. They were super late! The driver didn't even apologise for their lateness and made 20 of us waited (14 Malaysians and 4 of us and another smaller group) Tsk tsk... We were thinking that next time (if there is next time) we will travel with Konsortium instead of 5 Stars (Only these 2 bus companies go Redang)...

The coach ride was 'fastinating'! The driver machiam flying an aeroplane. Zooming and overtaking in super fast speed.. And the fact that I'm seated right behind the driver, I can see his 'Initial D' style of driving. Evonne seated beside me decided to cover herself with her jacket and rather not see. I hadn't had much rest on coach... too scared to relax...

Lunch at 2.30pm.. We brought out our Fillet O' Fish bought from MacDonald's much earlier while the other passengers ate the Zi Char... Bought some local delights... Continued with our journey. The second driver was much better... Though also fast, his speed slower than the first one.

On the way, the Konsortium bus broke down. Their coach left jetty at 11am, half an hour earlier than ours... I think Konsortium and 5 stars are some 'sister' companies, so our coach can longpang some of their passengers while the others on that Konsortium coach wait for another coach to come... We were like, 'wah, heng we took 5 Stars...' (Blessing in disguise? Lolz)

Had dinner at Yong Peng at about 6.30pm... Genna stuck at Tuas Checkpoint for quite long... Managed to clear customs only at 10pm... Longest ever queue I ever experienced in Singapore (usually long queue was at Malaysia Checkpoint at Woodlands)

Reached home at about 11pm... Tired and exhausted for travelling the longest ever coach ride...

Had some interesting experiences during this trip:

1) 另一幅风景
Saw a group of 3 guys checked in with a whole of us. Noticed a mixed blood ang moh... Quite cute.. During the speed boat ride to Marine Park Snorkelling he sat beside me... Then sat opposite me while travelling back.. Evonne and Cat were seated outside of the speedboat enjoying the scenery while YX and I seated inside. As the outside seats were very limited, we have to sit inside, enjoying my '另一幅风景'.. Dunno his name, so when we saw this group walking around Redang (The resort has limited rooms so we get to see familiar faces), we call him 另一幅风景... They were in the Konsortium coach.. Broke down one.. Ended up they din take our coach.. Eye Candy.. Yummy... Lolz...

2) Japanese model like gal with assistant
That's what I like to call them. There's this pair of female Japanese. One is with super great figure, wore bikini and thick makeup (even put mascara while we go to Marine Park loh, poisoning the fishies.. tsk tsk) and the other one is short, plump and fat. I was telling Cat that the Jap model lookalike is like a man-made chio bu (suspected cosmetic surgery) and at one point in time when she speaks, it sounded low and hoarse! 变性人？Hmm... There were guys 搭讪... But we overheard that she's 30+, married... Not that we wanted to listen, but the fact that the speedboat is this big and we are so near loh...

3) Hongkies and gang
We were also being 搭讪 by some Hongkies... While we were relaxing on the beach on the first day, a few golden hair guys came over and said 'leng loi' or something like that... We ignored them totally... On the second day at the Marine Park, the same guy came over again.. Again, I ignored him... Not that I'm unfriendly, I dun understand what he's saying... Lolz...

4) Group of 15 Malaysians
They were the ones who travelled with us via 5 stars... Not much interaction with them... They were in big groups.. They enjoyed their stuff and we enjoyed ours...

Side note: We actually wanted to book Laguna Redang but it was full, so we booked Redang Beach Resort instead. Not as glam as Laguna Redang, but I enjoyed therel. Redang Beach Resort is like located in the middle of the whole stretch of Redang.. That's where the live music and happenings are at... Food is also good, service was okay... Here are some pics I've gotten online from their homepage...

Had a full filled with activities Saturday.. Went to work, then went to Chinatown run errands, then go back to PS area meet up with Drifters... Saw one primary school friend and our eyes met.. But neither initiated a 'hi'... So we went our ways.. He's still the same I guess.. Maybe he's on my Facebook so I wasn't shocked about his looks since I last met him ages ago.. I think he did had a second look of me (cos while taking the escalator up I was behind his female friend)... Did I change a lot since primary school days? Maybe I did...

Anyway was at PS, then wanted to go Mount Emily... But some circumstances led to another, we ended in Serangoon Gardens Cafe Cartel.... A nice place to chill out.. But they close at 12 midnight.. So we went over to Grapevine at Upper Serangoon.. Talked till about 2am before heading home..

Time really flies ah ....

昨天我生病了！因为某种关系，我身体变得很虚弱。。。很少有这种感觉，这么弱，非常讨厌这种感觉。还好昨天睡了很长的时间，约十四小时。。。现在已经康复许多了。。

今早想要有一个健康的一天，就到公司附近的咖啡店点了一杯美禄和一个大包子。收费是两块七角！天啊！我当场差一点晕了过去。超贵的！打死我都不回去光顾那里了！

Had a very packed day... Reached office at 8am, finished off work only at 6.30pm (not even finished, only managed to push it to tml to do). So tired today, only had 15mins of lunch... Candice grumbled about the sucky lunch as well...

Groans aside, Anyway, I'm into Vampire Knights these days. Ever since I confiscated the comic from a student, I started to like it.. Lolz... Thought only have manga, then searched only realised that there's animae! Hehe.. Quite nice animae... Had completed till 12th epi.. Now waiting for the 13th to be uploaded online to view...

A long awaited entry! Couple of things to update for...

老娘终于可在快速公路奔驰了！Gotten my pract yesterday and that tester was kind enough to pass me. So happy, after spending much on the lessons and failed on 1st test, it was kinda demoralising... I thought I genna an immediate failure again.. At Ubi Ave 2 again... The sign stated 'Turn left on red', so I inched out, but stopped for the main road cars.. The tester said, 'do you think you are doing the right thing?' I freaked out. My mind was saying, 'suay liao, did I do wrong? Have I hogged the road? Ubi Ave 2 again, I must be cursed by this road... My next test cannot have this route...' Then he din ask me do U-turn or do E-brake and after this sentence he told me to go back to the driving centre. I was like, 'gone gone gone...' Then in the interview room, he was saying so much bad things, 'you made a few wide turns, and roll a bit off the slope' but when he ticked on the 'pass' checkbox, I was like, 'Yesh! Damn it, freak me out!' Really got cold sweat...

The video that we are supposed to watch. Seriously, I dunno about others, but I think Yang Jun Wei has red lipstick on... After the video was the murderous queue for a temp licence. Gotta queue the super long queue.. Hate it there... 3 counters then must wait for more than an hour (went twice and it's always the case)

Went for a Japanese Traditional Sweets and Tea Session last Saturday. About 200+ ppl attended. It was organised by Singapore Japanese Association and I happened to be in their invitation list, I went with Kaisa...

The Art of Tea Ceremony.. In the past it was performed by mainly guys, now most of it was done by female instead.

Green Tea! Very concentrated, made from the ceremony.

Their small little desserts, should be taken after the green tea..

I took the pink peony.. I like their effort in craving the shape, even the pollens are neatly arranged inside! Hard work involved! Can't bear to eat!

But I still had mine... Red bean paste inside... Nice, not that sweet, just nice...

This is a big mochi, the chef used tweezer to do the individual petals... Very nice and artistic!

Friend sent me one flash game using Excel... Interesting game.. But gruesome cos if aim wrongly the green guy will die terribly. Here's how many patterns he may die:

Went Genting last weekend for a short get away as well as to prove if I'm really can be 双天之尊 aka winning big in casino lah...

Had fun there.... though din win $$... But love the Teh Tarik inside the casino.. Esp it's free somemore... Gulp Gulp Gulp...

First shot after buying movie tix for 'Made of Honor' and before going back to the lobby to continue queueing for the room....

Ok, gotten our room and time to explore.. Went to see their K Box and indeed, they are really somewhat in a box.. Karaoke in a box.. Was a unique sight of seeing 7 people crowding in a small little container and sing... A vast difference from Neway at City Square (where we had been given the biggest room that can comfortably accomodate 20 pax)...

While waiting for enough 'orangs' to join us in this super scary-shot-up-to-the-sky-and-drop-down-as-fast-as-jumping-off-a-building kinda thrill ride... Still happily snapping away... Saw a group of guys walking towards our direction.. Thought they would join us then we have enuf peeps but ended up one fifth of them joined us. The four-fifth sat nearby and teng-nok only.. Guys somemore... Faint... (-_-!''')

Woo Hoo! Enuf orangs le... having the last final minute at 'floor level'... See me 强颜欢笑... It isn't my first time shooting up but I'm still very scared.. Really...

If I din take this little dino I will regret... Cos the previous time I went I wanted this shot.. But din took it.. So here I am at the Theme Park again, got my wish fulfilled...

Went to snow city as well.. For RM 10.. Cheaper than Singapore's... Super cold inside.. Hated the provided boots. Once the foot was put in, immediately feel the moist coldness in it! Yucks... But really gotta wear if not my toes will fall off! Freezing cold inside, machiam frozen pork le... Nothing much to do there, it's a 'go-once-in-your-lifetime-and-enjoy-the-moment' kinda experience...

Went Vivo today... Walked to Harbourfront Centre and saw they have the Fish Therapy.. Decided to go ahead and let the fishies bite my legs!

Was a bit scared to put my legs in, but since gotta pay for it le, die die also have to put...
When placed legs totally in water, all zoomed over and attacked my legs! Food (Foot) is here!

Poor fishies, gotta eat my dead skins... They all 'well-trained' to target dry food (foot) only.. It feels good after a while..

Went JB with Michelle, Jimmy and co today! Overslept, but great that Michelle called me and I zoomed over to meet them. I've done it (waking, brushing, bathing, make-uping, dry hairing, travelling to meeting place) in less 30 minutes! Literally jumped out of bed!

Anyway, our purpose was to sing K and watch movie, and we did... Went to Neway (my second time there), they gave the 4 of us the biggest room. It is able to accomodate 20+ people, has 4 cordless mics, super super big TV and its very own toilet! Shiok for only the 4 of us. The size is like 6 times bigger than usual KBox room.. Haha, we're in luck! But only bad thing is that we have to walk to the front to look at the songs they have and choose due to the fact that the room is gigantic! Lolz... Per pax: RM 15++ (About RM 17) Has buffet lunch as well! Actually it is a salad bar, about 10 types of hot/cold drinks, 1 soup, 2 warm dessert soups, bread with different spread, ice cream (today dun have...), noodle wif veggies & bean sprouts (gotta do self cooking).
Time really flies, we haven't yet to finish our remaining 40+ songs when the system indicated last song.. Sad to go...

Up next, Movie! Watched Kungfu Panda. City Square has the Cantonese version! But we watched the English one.. Only know that Singapore has English and Chinese version... Canto version.. Interesting.. Maybe will go back and watch the Canto version.... Anyone? Anyway Po the panda is so super hilarious! Enjoyed the show through out...

Had 'high tea' at the Hong Kong Cafe.. Saw one group ordered the super gigantic milk tea (more like a pill of milk tea, able to let 10pax drink type). It's only for those celebrating birthday and they take up challenge... Lolz...

Fun interesting day today...

Candice is happy despite the lack of sleep, having to reach office at 7.30am for the whole of last week... And next week! Faint...

To the World of Ukies

Had been figuring out adding some spice to my life. Recently an email was sent out by my Programme Dept peeps about giving us free lessons on one instrument call Ukulele (U-ku-lay-lee). It is an instrument, something like guitar miniture, from Hawaii. We have free lessons, only have to buy the Ukulele. My dept no one wants to go. I was thinking, who knows it may trigger out my hidden talent.. So i signed up for it.

My Ukulele.. Quite cute, easy to carry around, unlike guitar...

It was fun... Learn a few notes.. Then somewhat can 走天下already... Haha...

Looking forward to learn more... So I went on Youtube to search on this instrument. Was amazed by one guy Jake Shimabukuro who played pretty well. I love his version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps as well as another song call Crazy G where he plays faster and faster...

Okay, tough for me to be like him.. But 万事起头难... Jia you to myself!

Am still suffering from the aftermath of the badminton game... I think reason being is that I hadn't done sufficient warm up (did I even do it??)

Well due to my aching body, last nite shopping was cancelled... Ended up eating at Boat Quay. There you have it, Candice spending 2 hours playing badminton burning off calories and in one meal, welcome calories again!

Saturday, still still aching.. Decided not to go out afterall... Planned some stuff to do, ended up waking up at 2pm in the afternoon, all that has planned gone... Started surfing Facebook and ended up spending hours on Pirates!

It's kinda bo liao game whereby there is a continuation of mouseclickings... Rob an enemy island, dig up coins upgrade cannons, fight another pirate, eat ham to heal... basically like that. You can choose whether to fight the pirate or not based on the level. For those ambitious one can fight those who has the higher level.. For 'landlubbers' like me, those I know I can't win one, why waste my crew... Spending too much time on sea really makes me seasick!

Saturday's wasted! Last weekend was much better spent...

Am aching lots after the badminton game last night... Thou shall pick up more sports to keep my 'growing old' bones healthy!

Anyway, I had decided to jump ship for my savings account. I am officially a Citi-banker.. Heh heh heh.. After so many years of having POSB as my main bank and receiving low interest, after a talk by Citibank makes me gian about what they can provide. Somewhat it helps make ppl save $$, cos the lowest limit cannot be lower than the previous month one.. If it is lower than the previous month, then the interest given will be at its lowest but still be higher than POSB. Maybe in the very beginning will be a bit problematic as to do transfers back to POSB for GIRO deduction, it should work well for serious saver... See how see how...

Nowadays students on holiday, so a bit slack and relax...

Tonight is the night for shopping cos the shops will open till midnight! Yippe! Great deals everywhere... Getting poorer le but money will be well-spent I hope..

Bon Voyage to my sis who's going to Hongkong, Macau & Shen Zhen for study programme.. So envious... Poor Candice furthest this year (till now) is Malaysia... Sad Sad... When I can go Australia again?? Haha...

A long missed entry has finally emerged from its sleepy rocks! Haven't been updating my blog. Oh no.. it's a one month thingy again.

Hmm quick update what I had done...

1) Went up to Singapore Flyer at last! Went with Peishi, it was a fun fun fun day! It was a long queue into the capsule. Thought it will not be crowded cos it's kinda expensive. But somehow it was still a new discovery for Singaporeans, so still got many Singaporeans going... Let's see for the next one year...

2) Went JB! Wanted to get away from Singapore for a while but due to not enough money and time, JB seems most convenient. Mountain turtle Candice din know they no need the white card already, still got it filled up and get everyone in the car to complete it. Ended up being 'trashed'...

3) Wanted to go JB the following week to do my hair, but somehow friend friend can't go and I got high fever, my sis went with friend. Haha, planned the outing and jioed my sis, ended up only my sis went and not me. Anyway I did my hair in Singapore instead.. Hello Curls~!

4) Went Isetan private sale last thursday! LJ jio-ed and she has the card. Things selling at 20% - 30% discounts... So we went Lido Isetan for grabs. It was super crowded... Physically contacts at almost every move towards a product. We only had time for cosmetics and bags! We have yet to explore the clothes section when we realised we had spent 3 hours at level 1. By the time we made the payments, they are about to close. We had our dinner at 10.30pm. By the time I got home it was already midnight and I gotta work the next day.. Faint...

5) Busy at work.... (about 200 words cut off....)... So that's why I am busy...

Haha.... Din wanna nag about work...

6) I'm a late fan of Heroes! Just started watching Season 1. Got my sis addicted. She finished Season 2.. I'm still at Season 1 epi 13....

For those who din catch Heroes, here's what they can do:
a) Peter Petrelli (my fave, that's why first in line): Was a male nurse. Younger brother of Nathan Petrelli. Able to absorb other heroes powers and call his own.

b) Claire Bennet: Save the cheerleader (This phrase is meant for Peter to save Claire) She's a cheerleader and will heal herself regardless of burns, cuts, broken bones, opened rib cage, she will just heal herself back to unhurt self.

c) Hiro Nakamura: Time traveller. Hiro's ability to pierce the space-time continuum and manipulate time has empowered him with foresight into a dangerous future -- and what he must do to change it. He has a great partner Ando.

d) Matt Parkman: a police detective with the ability to hear the thoughts of others. I thought his abilities also quite cool, but he heard the thoughts of wife and his friend who made him cuckold..

f) Niki Sanders : a single mother with astonishing strength. Niki struggles to support her exceptionally gifted son Micah while maintaining an inner balance with her volatile, amoral mirror image Jessica.

g) Nathan Petrelli: a congressional hopeful with the ability to fly. His political dreams were dashed along with his happiness when he failed to stop his younger brother Peter from exploding over the New York City skyline.

h) Sylar: (The evil character in the show who's out to kill the cheerleader) a manipulative serial killer dedicated to violently collecting the extraordinary talents of special people.

Gotten an invite for preview screening.. Not bad show.. It talked about Love... Basically it's kinda 青梅竹马kinda love.. No betrayal, no gay/lesbian, no jealousy... So sweet. It's 'You're my love of my life, through happiness and sorrow, no matter where you are, I will rescue you' kinda relation..

Love this movie. Cos guys are not wearing clothes as they are cave people... Haha.. Hunting and fights... Good good...

First of March.. Feeling a bit feverish... Also, welcoming to the month of March with missing teeth... Had surgery last Sat and got my stitches removed yesterday... Now officially not much wisdom le...

To friends who are concerned about me, here's my update. For those who don't care, why are you even here?

About health: Candice, after the surgery, had soup based food, esp Campbell's Soup... Had different types and flavours. Minestrone, Mushroom Potage, Clam Chowder, Oriental Treats- Szechuan Hot & Sour Chicken, Vegetable Garden... Will that be too much MSG for me?

Love the chunky series... Cos really can eat the bits of meat and veggies...

Candice's fave... Clammies from New England!

Sze Chuan, another fave of mine.. Cos it's spicy and sour... Add vinegar and viola, superb delicacy!

Chicken Vegetable. Not bad, if not compared with the Chunky cousins, it actually is good...

Mushroom Potage, yummy, something like clam chowder excluding the clam. Creamy, yet not sick of the taste...

Minestrone, reminds me of Pizza Hut's soup.. Add lotsa black pepper to spice it up!

Oh yah, one thing to note, NTUC selling the canned soup cheaper than Cold Storage.. So me save quite a bit on that...

Okay, updating soon I think.. Waiting to go out with PS on a expedition! Can't hardly wait.. I'm totally gear up! Lolz

Helloooo.....

Somehow yesterday my house visiting isn't successful.. so went to look for dentist for consultation.

Did an X-ray for my teeth and at a glance, wow, my wisdom tooth is quite protruding. Now technology so advance that it is not on black film le.. it's in jpeg.. Can retrieve almost immediately.. I requested for my dentist to email me for momento... So here it is..

The Inner Me

I need to extract the bottom left and right and top left, which require 2 sessions. 1 session for remove right side, then can still chew with left side. Total costing more than $500, but can use Medisave... But like my colleague say loh, why call wisdom tooth when it doesn't makes one wiser and yet giving pain and more pain (monetary terms). It should be call "Useless Tooth"... More practical name for it.

Was given such good information about my teeth and I was quite happy for a lesson learnt. Somehow I thought dentist's job was terrible, gotta see different types of decay and still gotta be a teacher.. then suddenly become sales person to sell the package to the patient..

Anyway, will be going for wisdom extraction next month.. Gotta plan first... Wish me luck...

Oh, bought Jay Chou concert thingy le.

Bought this one DVD first, but I still 念念不忘 the CD version, cos can listen to it on bus.. So sold this off to my mum's friend...

It's super good! Wah.. Too bad din shoot lotsa videos.. Have only seen those captured by me.. I havent get to see what my sis has captured (we both got a digi cam on hand each)

How close were we, having to pay for so much? See bottom... It's a bit restricted view, esp when the cameraman 'crew' was on the stage blocking us most of the time.. managed to get him gotta my pictures...

Lotsa stuff were sold out! Managed to ask my cousin to help purchase on the Saturday concert.. but ended up many were pre-order.. still gotta go to the company and collect..

Was randomly surfing FaceBook. Tried typing someone's name, someone whom I had somehow lost touch like 14 years ago...someone whom I've been searching for using Friendster but to no avail.. Suddenly after I typed out the name and tada, the profile photo came out! Though cannot view the whole profile, almost immediately I can recognise this person! Wow... I'm impressed with the databank...

Being cheeky, I tried typing "Candice"... Ended up so many people sharing the same name.. But few sharing same surname lah..

Good gorgeous me I havent really have time to finalise my stuff for 2007 and here comes 2008!

Couple of things to update.. Since I've gone MIA in blogging for almost 1 month..

Good news! (About me lah)
1) It's the beginning of the year and I supposed the full time working peeps are happy cos of the 5 letter word. BONUS!!!
2) Managed to go JB with Michelle, Jimmy and Co (forgot the name le) in December. Thought overall in year 2007, I went Malaysia like 6 times? Can't remember... Really help their economy boom (I'm a little prawn, but hey, I do spent there...)
3) JAY CHOU IS COMING!
I think this will be the only event I'm looking forward to (apart for my now-cancelled Korea trip)
4) I'm going Taiwan! Soon soon soon.. Very soon hor? I think should be able to materialise it...
Sis now already in Taiwan.. Must get info about the good places to visit... Slowly starting our itinerary le bah.... (Okay yah, you know who you are)

Bad News! (Also about me lah)
1) I am supposed to go Korea this Feb for some snowballing action but due to some unforeseen circumstances I may not be able to An Ngyong Ha Sei Yo this Feb! I shall stay in Singapore to eat Kimchi Pao Mian watching 咖啡王子一号店 instead. I'm going to miss chancing upon Dennis Joseph O'neill also known as Dennis Wu (the guy in my previous entry, there.. the bottom entry) But nevertheless, I got some snowball in return. My undone work is snowballing~! The difference? Big. And nothing to be happy about. Though it's free 'snowball'...

2) Am planning my study study study.. But I'm lazy and scared of exams... But I need the paper~ I also need the money.. Candice is waiting for the money to fall from the sky. Really.
For those kind souls out there, if you have lotsa money to spare and don't mind contribute to CARE (Candice always requires expenditure) fund, please contact me. I will inform you about my bank details in a separate note.

3) Work wise, I dun really wanna mention cos not really worth worrying about. Just waste my braincells.. Anyway, so long student numbers come in, it's fine I supposed. So many kids this year! Yay to BONUS! Haha... Esp with my group of crazy-but-efficient- happy colleagues for support and accompaniment, it really helps. A lot.

4) I wanna go lipo! Haha... But cos the CARE fund is not coming in, I shall stick with my 'how to slim down while munching kit kat chunky' method. Still status quo.

Nothing bad about 2008 I hope.
